"I was looking for an Iphone 6 and recently heard about the battery issue with these phones. I inquired with Gazelle if they were checking the batteries or doing anything about this issue. Nobody replied to my inquiry, but I decided to go ahead and order one (a 6s) anyway. My phone arrived quickly and appeared to be in great condition. However, with a full charge, the battery only lasted 6 hours. This was not acceptable to me and I don't think it would be for anybody else either. I brought the phone to an Apple Store, and they told me within 2 minutes of investigating the phone the the battery was almost completely toast. They were offering to replace it for $30 because of the well publicized issue. Instead of going through the headache of returning the phone and possibly getting another one with the same issue, I opted to pay for the new battery. I wrote to Gazelle and asked them to fairly refund my $30, but that in my opinion a larger refund would be better business for my troubles. This was a well known issue that they should have been checking on. Here is their response: "We apologize for the delayed response and any inconvenience this issue may have caused. All the devices we sell go through a 30 point inspection to ensure that all features are in perfect working condition. If we receive a device that has a battery that does not work then it is replaced." A battery that doesn't keep a charge for more than half of a day is not considered working in my book. Poor business choice that could have been made right with a small refund. Very disappointed and will no longer use nor recommend this company."
