"Gadget Area advertises electronic devices (e.g. cameras, cell phones, TVs, computers) at great prices. After placing an order they ask to fax them a copy of your credit card and driver’s license. Once they have that, you don't hear from them again. Nobody replies to e-mails and they don’t have a phone number listed on their website. The company is a scam site that is only after your credit card data. STAY AWAY!!!"
"Looks like bogus site. I placed order and then received email to say my order had failed due to a high fraud risk. I was asked to fax copies of my credit card and driving licence to them so they could validate my card. I emailed them back to ask if I could use my PayPal account, they replied that all of their transactions go through PayPal and it was them that refused my card. My PayPal account is in credit and I have never had problems with them. DO NOT RISK THIS SITE, you may loose your money. "
"Tried several times to process order with 2 different credit cards. Site would not process order . I suspect this is a phishing site with criminal intent."
"This site is infact a scam. DO NOT purchase anything from this site. They claim your card is fraudulent and than ask for a scan of your credit card along with a scan of your drivers license."
"WARNING! This is a bogus site, most likely phishing for credit card info! See discussion here: http://ph.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080224095351AApVWSF"
