delivered broken bed - charging for exchange

"ordered a daybed for curbside delivery. The driver was in a rush - Told us it was curbside drop off only and they would not wait for us to open the box. we signed it and trusted that all would be okay.
we opened up the box and found out it was broken. Immediately we contacted the location and sent pictures.
2weeks after they tell me that they will only exchange it- if we pay for the delivery. $190.00.
that we should of told the driver to stay while we opened the 3 boxes.
I explained that the driver would not wait. They said the drivers are not their employees and are independent workers.

a $522.50 damaged bed - and they want $190.00 more to fix it

Horrible Customer Service for Cheap Product

"I ordered a table, which would be a good table if it wasn't for design flaws. I fully inspected upon delivery and the table appeared completely fine. Two major issues. When I screwed things together, I was very cautious not to over-tightened (not that there was any mention of this), but in almost every place, it cracked the composite concrete in a pretty major way. A product should not crack so easily from something as simple as screwing in a screw. Second, When I got the table top in the direct light, it highlighted portions where they obviously used some sort of poxy to fill in cracks. This was not noticeable during delivery and only visible when directly light is shining on it. This was not the same as the other variants making the table look like natural wood. It stands out like a sore thumb and from our perspective the table is unusable. I immediately wrote customer service (and sent several photos for evidence) about these two issues. While it took a while for them to get back to me, they basically said they can only pay for returns when its returned upon delivery. So unless I wanted to drive it an hour away to their warehouse, they refused to ship replacements of any part. They offered to charge me $50 to have someone bring in to the house, but the I would still need to do the uninstall/install. Its absolutely ridiculous that they tried to blame me for the issues and then refused to remedy the situation unless I pay for it. This is by far the worst customer service for any furniture product I have bought online, and I have bought a lot of furniture online. I will never use furniture-authority again due to this awful experience."

"I was a little concerned to purchase online as I had not seen the dining room set. It came as described. Looks more beautiful in person. The delivery was so smooth and courteous with no problems at all. I enjoy my dining room and am so happy I purchased it. I also saved money as Furniture Authority's price was cheaper. Very happy and satisfied customer. Will come back during summer to buy a new bedroom set."

Dishonest and shady business practices

"Company is shady and dishonest. Had to get he better business bureau involved and still didn’t get it resolved. Company had an F rating with the BBB when I made my purchase. Possibly the worst transaction I have ever had online. Purchased 2 items and thought the price was great. A week later I get an email saying there was going to be an additional $220 shipping fee that wasnt originally included. Tried to cancel and had to online chat and email a million people to only be told there would be a 30% restocking fee even going nothing had shipped!

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The BEST Furniture Transaction I Have Had!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"After finding the dining table I wanted for the lowest price on the Furniture-Authority website, I ordered my table last Thursday and a couple of days later received a text informing me my table would be delivered on the coming Monday. The driver kept in touch every step of the way and delivered the 194-lb. table curbside without any issues and with great care. The entire experience was handled with professionalism and care. I have been an Internet shopper since 1995 -buying everything online. This was by far THE BEST transaction I have had. I would highly recommend Furniture-Authority and would definitely visit this site again. Thank you for a fantastic experience!!!!"

More like Dishonesty Authority

"When you order from the company, a picture of the item you are looking to buy shows, along with a large price tag and a red strike through, deeply discounting the item. After you buy what you think is the item--in my case a dining set--you get an email saying it's not. It was only the table. The problem is that the email went to spam and I never saw it. When I wrote to the company asking where was my dining set, they told me that I only ordered the table and the chairs would cost me several hundred more dollars. The website indicates this no where. He also said that the table was a certain length, and that is also indicated no where. Then when I called to cancel the order, they said it was a 30% cancellation fee. The business owner said he was honest with me because he emailed me the day AFTER I gave him my credit card information (made the order) to tell me it was only a table! Then he says I can buy the chairs from him for a discounted price if I drive to Anaheim to pick them up. Bad experience. I waited a month for a table that I've now partially paid for but will not receive. I'd rather lose money than deal with someone so unabashedly dishonest."

Horrible customer service

"After several weeks of back and forth correspondence regarding my order and not being able to pin them down to a delivery date they cancelled my order. The first time they wanted me to pick up in City of Industry which I have never heard of but I looked up and it was in Southern California. I live in Northern California. Then they said item would be in Fremont on 2/18/16 and could I pick up from there; Fremont is 90 minutes away. Their "free" shipping for orders above $300 is misleading. Very dissatisfied with this company. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away from this company."

"Listen to the other reviewers here, STAY CLEAR of this company, they seem like a good deal at first. Then with their "free shipping" somehow manage to bill your credit card for the entire shipment, then ask for an additional $199 later...I ordered furniture that was indicated to be in stock on Sept 26th...after many e-mails and failed promise delivery dates. First hoping by my birthday at the end of October, but that fell through. Then some more excuses from them and it was going to be beginning of November, then more excuses and just before thanksgiving...then more excuses and it was early december, then more excuses and it was before Christmas...Finally I couldn't take it and in January 2015, four months later, I called my credit card company to dispute the order. These people are shady, not professional at all and still tried to threaten me with restocking, even though I hadn't even taken delivery of anything. "
