Don't buy Frigidaire

"My father-in-law purchased this 4 door refrigerator and freezer because they liked the look, and it fits nicely in their space. He purchased it on Jan 29th, 2021. In the first part of September of 2022, we noticed the freezer was not keeping stuff frozen. I know a lot to ask for from your freezer. We tried a few things and then ended up calling Frigidaire out to look at it. They sent a service tech that told us it must have been a power surge and the compressor just needed reset by unplugging and plugging it back in. (we already tried that before he came) He did not put a thermometer in it or do anything other than hear the compressor running. He told us to put a bottle of water in the freezer and make sure it freezes, then left. no follow-up or anything. after a couple of days without it freezing or even getting cold at this point. I called back. After waiting on hold for over an hour, I explained the situation to the person. She then told me the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer, so if I wanted a second opinion on why it was not working, then I would have to pay for a service tech to come out. After some arguing about how the first guy was useless, she got approval from her manager to send someone out and look at the unit. He came out and was in the house for about 10 minutes and told me the sealed system failed and the unit was not repairable. After a few days, I called Frigidaire back, and they told me what their tech said. Then said the unit was out of warranty as it was over a year old. The tech told me it was a manufacturing and design flaw that caused this. but because it lasted a year, it's my problem now, I guess. I tried to post this review on their website, and they would not post it, saying I violated some of their policies. I guess writing a negative review about a crapy product they made violates their policies. I won't be buying anything from Frigidaire again if I can help it.

"Consumers please beware of Frigidaire Gallery product line, we have had it serviced four times and it is only just bit over a year old. Twice for the same issue of freezing all of our food on the fridge side and once for leaving metal shaving in our ice bin from the ice maker. Now our liner on our refrigerator is splitting apart and cracking all over the inside,The way that the Frigidaire company wants to fix it is with tape. The tape is the width of duct tape and white the same thickness as duct tape. so the repairman will put a piece the size of the cracks and stick them on our refrigerator. this is not an appropriate way to repair a $1500.00 appliance. its like putting band aids all over the inside of our refrigerator. If they cannot make an appropriate repair then our appliance should be replaced. How will I clean the tape. I thought it was a joke when the repairman told me what Frigidaire said to him for this repair!! no one would want tape on the inside of their fridge, things spill knock over its going to be so messy and really embarrassing when people open my fridge. Fridgidaire you should be ashamed. What poor customer service. My husband and I have both been on the phone with them for over and hour and they will not help us and insist we have to use tape. What low standards you have set for what was thought to be a fine product. I have waisted $1500.00 on a refrigerator that will now have tape all over it. I even bought the extended warranty, how disappointed we are. No help was offered nothing, zero. Buyers beware! I will post pictures soon for you all to see my taped refridgerator liner! We were going to purchase the oven in this Frigidaire product line, "But not now" Consumer rights aren't protected anymore and it is disturbing !!
