"I purchased a one-year subscription from Focus Magazine about a year ago. I've never seen a magazine with this kind of quality before -- it's truly beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone. Previous poster doesn't sound like she knows what she's talking about -- I've never had a problem with my subscription."

"My goal in posting this review is to inform others who may be considering purchasing a subscription from Focus Magazine. I am not here to speak of their product, and as far as I know, it is a quality product. However, their customer service is extremely poor. After three months of not recieving my subscription (it is a bi-monthly puiblication) I contacted them to find out if perhaps my subscription had been lost. The ensuing responses and blatant disregard for the concerns of one of their customers has left me with only one desire, and that is to completely sever any relationship with this company. Whatever my personal feelings and relations with this company, the main fact I will leave you with is that they will provide no guarantee on their subscriptions. I have yet to receive a single issue, and after the conversations I have just had, I requested they cancel my subscription, and they refused. So, be forewarned, if you give them your ~$60, you'll never receive a dime back if you are unhappy. They do not stand behind their product and service.

I order the magazine in October, 2007. Confronted them mid January, 2008. And just wo days ago, received my first copy of the magazine. Reaffirmed you do not want to do business with such a company. Who knows when my next issue might arrive, if ever.

It has now been 16 months since my subscription was initiated. Accounting for some initial startup delays, by now I should have received a minimum of 6 issues of their magazine. I have received 2, both of whihcI promptly threw in the trash. This company is unbelievable. When I called to complain they told me that I was the problem. Ever had an occasion in which you had an encounter with someone and it was overtly hostile and left you shaking afterwards? (maybe 2-3 times in my life this has happened) That is exactly the way communicting with this company's customer service made me feel. Save yourself the trouble, and find another magazine. The review posted by JGordon above is from the same person who I spoke to on the phone when I called customer service. He's an employee. BTW, the magazine looks nice. That'd why I originally subscribed. The product isn't the issue. Customer support and, more importantly, the complete lack of delivery of their product are the issues.
