"I have to complain about the non-responsiveness of 1strateknives.com. Numerous emails and phone calls have not been returned. It is impossible to get an update of an order's status. The item may yet appear in the next day or two, which would barely be within the timeframe allowed by the shipping (and hideous price paid) method selected. It's the lousy customer service that gets them slammed right now. I will post a repeal if satisfaction is received, otherwise, I will actively discourage anyone from ordering from this company. "They took my money as soon as I placed my order and never sent me anything. They have no "Contact Us" info on their site so luckily I bought through Paypal and have opened a dispute. Don't waste your time, they are NOT sending out the prepaid orders. 1ST Rate Knives is a horrible company."

"Very unhappy and feel ripped off. Their web page CLEARLY SHOWS the original Schrade Made in USA knives, and they clearly state that "they have a few of these fine old knives left", but after a >3 week wait they shipped the new Chinese imitations which are not only not worth half the money they cost but totally useless as tools, being made of cheap stainless and glued together by teenage labor.
I strongly recommend that anyone who knows which side of the blade is sharp avoid this business at all costs. If they were the only knife vendor on the Internet I'd make my own knives by rubbing tin cans on rocks before I'd so much as look at a link with their URL in it.
