Purchased "new" scooter. Came destroyed and not working.
I clearly signed the BOL "damaged" and sent proof and notified you in under the 3 days necessary. I sent over detailed pictures and videos with a written description of damage.
I did everything owner and website says. Owner and staff hangs up on you and does not answer any direct questions.
I had to contact police
Call the local Sheriff and report the incident on phone take 5 mins or less

"I ordered a small ATV online on a Saturday. The following Monday I received a call from a very rude representative. She informed me it would be an additional $150 above the purchase price because of an "access fee" hidden in their fine print, effectively an extra shipping charge. If I chose to cancel the order they were going to charge us even more in a restocking fee. This is illegal at a brick and mortar dealership, but online I guess there's no rules. What makes me the angriest, is the surprise. If they had just given me a price in the first place, I would have happily paid it. This is a shakedown like you'd see on some lousy used car lot in the inner city. Total BS. I promise, your money is better spent anywhere but familygokarts.com"
"Bought it from the website with guaranteed free delivery by Christmas. In reality you have to pay another $100-150 in fees to actually get it delivered. If you haven’t dealt with freight shipping, it can be a pain especially if work and can’t be home whenever they decide to show up. But it arrived well before Christmas as promised.
It does not come as assembled as others note and the included instructions consist of a blown out diagram for parts that you have to refer to to piece it together. If you dig through the familygokarts.com website and others you can find some PDFs that can help, especially with chain tensioning, repositioning the pedals and such.
Comes in a large metal framed crate that I was able to load from the delivery truck into the bed of my pickup. It was slightly cosmetically damaged but was otherwise okay and all parts were there. You have to change the oil as well. Anyway, I eventually got it together but found a broken part on the brake cable and the brake cylinder cap was off without fluid. The support email service was very responsive during the holidays with responses daily or the next day. I haven’t changed the new brake cable (Part paid for but I had pay $20 for shipping) yet. I am having a problem with the brakes not being very responsive and am told by switching the cable that should resolve.
The brake pedal as it currently stands is tough to depress and slows the unit rather than engaging fully. Again, pending the brake cable change this may change.
The acceleration is crazy fast for a kid. This things easily goes 12-15 mph with me sitting in it (175lbs). You can adjust the throttle movement on the engine with a screw but even with that being fully “in” it’s still too fast for my little one. There is also a screw in stopper for the gas pedal that supposed to restrict the top speed too. The supplied screw doesn’t contact the floor board when pedals are advanced up for shorter kids (farthest spot has the floor board angled and would touch) so I bought a longer bolt from my local hardware store. Even then it’s still pretty fast.
Push start ignition is great as is the remote start/stop (warning: you can hit the remote start after it’s started and grind the starter!). Kill switch works super well and is a key feature for me.
Seat belts are okay for my 6 year old but too big for the 5 year old (she’s a shrimp though). Down side to the harness is that they have to remove their helmets to slide it over their heads. Am planning to get some webbings to enclose the sides in case they roll it (which would be hard to do with the little guys but i think I could do it with me sitting in it).
In general this is definitely a good buy, especially for 1650 plus another $150 in charges. I heard other video reviews state they paid closer to $1300 but that must be old pricing. If you could pay a little extra to have it built and tested, it could be worth avoiding the frustration. I think the company cared a lot about me buying the correct product and wanted me to avoid something too big for them. They’ve been very responsive with support which is great. Is this thing as perfect as a Ferrari? No but its perfect for a zippy go kart that I doubt they’ll outgrow well into being young teenagers. "
"Missing multiple parts. None of the tires hold air overnight. We purchased this under the belief this was "ready to go" and it didn't require a PhD in automotive engineering to be functional. The 40 minute video is useless. If you want to be transparent, you should show it to customers before they purchase this. I spent $2000+ and probably 20 hours trying to get this ready for Christmas and that was a huge failure. Now I'm hiring a real mechanic for $400 to put find the missing parts and put it together. You should be embarrassed...and send me the $400 and four tires"

"The initial part was frustrating, due to everyone was out of stock and it was for my wife's Bday. After I made the order everything went pretty smooth, it just took forever (7.5 weeks) once received , it was in a cardboard shell with a metal cage on a wood pallet. Only 1 small hole in the box, but no damage. Opened the whole think up put everything together and it was awesome! The wife loves it!"
