TERRIBLE customter service

"The only thing that keeps this company in business is that they have a fairly unique product and can get away with charging an arm and a leg for it. In exchange for handing them $300 for a pack that would cost no more than $200 if supplied even by an expensive company such as Arcteryx, and $100 for a lightly padded cloth box, you get the privilege of never having anything in stock, being promised 4-6 weeks lead time, never hearing from them when 6 weeks come and go, and when you in inquire 10 weeks later then send you a message telling you that they cannot provide you with a ship date, but expect to ship within a week or so. To make matters even worse they charge your credit card upfront, not on ship, and according to various people take 4-6 weeks to issue a refund when you do ask for one.

I have been a customer of theirs since they first came out circa 2010, and they have always been like this. If I had a choice I would have long abandoned them. And I will, the second someone has the wits about them to provide a competing product. There clearly is a market there, and anyone who comes close in functionality (which should not be difficult) will take business away from them as easily as taking candy from a baby. That as of yet non-existent company already have my business, they just need to offer the product.

"I am quite disappointed with FStop. I ordered two of their shoulder bags. Once I received them I noticed that the fabric is very thin and "cloth like" with no weather protection at all. They also smelled very bad. Luckily, or so I thought, they have a satisfaction guarantee. So I sent the bags back - for about half the shipping cost they originally charged me, by the way. I tracked my return and one week after it got delivered I inquired about the status of the refund. They informed me that they had not looked/inspected my return but would do so that same day. I eventually received my refund, but not that day, as promised. I am disappointed in the quality of the product I received, I feel they significantly overcharge for shipping (which is not refundable in case of a return) and I definitely do not feel that it should take over a week for them to open a returned package. I will never do business again with this company."

"I didn't know F-Stop and their products before until I read about it in one of the blogs. If you are someone who likes photography and outdoor/adventure at the same time. Their products are right for you - what I had been looking for a long time. I ordered from them twice. The orders went well without any problems. They sent me confirmation e-mails, receipts and tracking info in a timely fashion. They shipped the order same day. My bags were delivered very fast in nice packaging. They also have 45-day return policy if you are not satisfied with the bags. Their products are high-quality (and yes..$$$) and very unique. Though I had a small problem about how to use it, I went online and chatted with somebody who was very patient and guided me step by step. I highly recommend buying from F-Stop."
