"eharmony used to be a great dating site when I last used it six years ago, met a lot of really nice compatible women that fit my criteria. It used to give you a variety of subscription options to choose from, from month-to-month, 3, 6 or more months. Buying a longer sub was worth it, because the value to cost ratio was good.
Boy, how this site has changed. They now force you to buy a minimum 6 month subscription, even if paying monthly installments, at nearly $400, under the ostensible rationale that you need six months to find and start conversations with the many great matches they'll send you. Yeah, good luck with.
The service now ****. Its value no longer remotely correlates to the quality of what you get. They serve you tons of profiles that don't match well, often well outside your desired geographic input points, and many profiles have no profile pics, so you can't tell if someone meets your attractiveness factors - this aspect alone should not be allowed by eharmony. What ones have pics seem to all be the virtual detritus of the dating world, because they don't engage when you send a message or use the now less-than-previously-useful icebreakers - which are lame and not as good as they were before. Even eharmony's once-vaunted algorithms match you with people that don't fit your criteria.
On top of that, you cannot cancel without paying in full, even if you're paying month-to-month within the minimum 6 month term. There is no means to complain and get service, making this lousy service nothing more than a huge scam to steal your money and provide an abysmal service. They should be prosecuted for by the FTC for not delivering a service and not offer refunds when they do.
Don't waste your money.

"Man I wish I knew about these reviews before plunking down all that money. I was stuck in a 6 month contract. I’ve gotten Zero replies!!!! And anyone I reached out to Never responded. Trust me, I do not look bad. I tried to get my money back but they shut that down. Also they give you some BS about expanding your distance. I’m getting matches from people so far, some as far as Ca and I live in PA. It’s ridiculous . If you’re smart enough to read these reviews before paying. Listen to them! Don’t do it! Save your money! "It took me a long time to get the curious to join any online dating service but I thought from the TV commercials I have seen I would be able to meet my future partner but so far everyone I’ve wanted to meet or who has reached out to me has turned out to be a scammer of some sort and no the genuine person they claimed to be so no thank you I’ll take my chances in the real world face to face. "I signed up with eHarmony on September 2018 in hope to make friends/quality men but nothing happens. The men on there are unattractive and those whose are ok to attractive profiles do not exist. Unlike other sites, eHarmony sent me the same matches every week. I believe they don’t have enough males clientele like how they used to 10 years ago. When I ask for a refund , they refused so I guess they will continue to charge me until my contract with them end. Oh well, considered I donate my money to their staffs payrolls. DO NOT sign up with them because they will propose a good deal and when you signed up , it’s then too late to cancel. "
"I went On eharmony on the suggestion of a friend, and I am So glad I did. I found my fiancé and If we didn’t have eharmony we probably would not have crossed paths. The only issue is the price. It is expensive, and you can’t cancel earlier. I found my guy in three weeks, so I asked To cancel my account but I had To pay until the end of the cycle...they told me I had To remember to cancel...which I think is a little much. Bc if you don’t remember to cancel, they just automatically charge you. Read the fine print before you sign on! "
"I paid for the subscription which was NOT cheap and after 2 days they decided to close my account!! They said they could not tell me why. But I probably know they might take your picture and pass it around to make other believe there are real people. I don’t really know but that is VERY fishy. I got connected right away with someone and maybe they thought we would not keep paying if we find someone? Don’t know either. But now I missed the chance to meet this wonderful woman. Who know if that was the love of my life because now they don’t let me back in.
They give a phone number but whoever answers can’t help you at ALL!
They just hear you and send you same email saying they can’t tell you why they close accounts.
Very disappointed. Worse experience ever!!

"Eharmony does not have quality or quantity of users. The matches are not truly matches in most ways. The customer service is awful and refuses to let you cancel your account and stop payments after a month of using the site realizing it is not as advertised. Might as well use free sites. This one is not worth what they charge ."

It should be law that you get an email prior to any auto renewal and chance to cancel
