"DO NOT do business with this company!
I ordered a part that they listed as being in stock.
I waited 2 weeks for some form of shipment confirmation but got nothing. I sent 6 emails and called 5 times during the course of another 2 weeks. All I got was the same run around each time.

Filed a complaint with my credit card company to get my money back.

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DARNTOOTHYSAM.COM Let me repeat that: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DARNTOOTHYSAM.COM. I ordered a product on June 4, 2012 and it is now June 26, 2012. I have called repeatedly and all I get is voice mail of some bozo saying that if I didn't reach him then he is busy helping another customer - whatever. I've emailed him repeatedly and all I get back is:

Thank you for contacting DarnToothySam.com. Currently this mailbox is monitored 3 days per week and not on the weekends. We will respond to your emails as soon as we can and in the order we receive them.

"I placed an order on Feb 14, 2012, and immediately received an automated confirmation email. The product was listed as "Available". It is now Feb 23, and have heard nothing about the order, which is still listed on the order status page as "Order Received". I have emailed the company once last week and once this week, and have not received any response. I have called about a dozen times, but nobody answers (I have not left a voice message). I understand this is a small shop, but there is no excuse for this kind of negligence. I have also owned a small shop, and never ignored customers like this, no matter how busy I was.

Update: On 2/23/11, I emailed DarnToothySam attempting to cancel my order. It is 2/27/11 and have heard nothing. The order is still in an "Order Received" status. The only thing worse than the name of this company is their customer service.

Update: 3/1/11. Still have heard nothing. The order is still in an "Order Received" status. I sent another email today.

Update: 3/2/11. Received email notification that my order has been cancelled and money refunded.

Update: 3/2/11: I received an email from the MN Better Business Bureau, where I filed a complaint, so I went in to check out what he had to say. The owner of the company started explaining the problem but then went straight into a personal attack on me. He used my domain name, that he got from my email address used in my business transaction, to visit my webpage that I maintain as a hobby. He followed a link on the page that let him to my 'very amatuer' photography page, which he publicly criticized on the public response to my better business bureau complaint. He must have thought this would bother me, which it didn't, but I found it very odd for a business owner to do. He actually listed my web page with the criticism, which the Better Business Bureau had the integrity to 'x' out. He also criticized me for for caring about my order that was only $15. I guess small orders are worthy of his attention.

I believe what made him angry was that I criticized his business's name (darn toothy sam), which was rather juvenile on my part, but I don't regret it. In my opinion, it is a ridiculous name for a business.

In conclusion, before you do business with this guy, read his own web page, especially the blog area. Also, check out his rating on the better business bureau website (which he hates because it paints and accurate picture). It will give you a pretty good idea of what you may experience if you choose to order. I read all this before I ordered, but I figured he was just getting a bad rap, I was wrong. I should have known better when I read his whiny blog post about the better business bureau and how much their executives get paid, and also a similar post about Best Buy. I guess I'll just stick with reputable companies from now on.
