Total FRAUD

"I bought a laptop screen from D & G Computers selling as mdparts72 on eBay 11/27 for $219 +shipping .  It was delivered 12/3.  I discovered it was defective and here's where I fell for the scam.  I followed this message included with the receipt (as well as in his eBay sales page) "If there are any problems please give us the opportunity to fix the issue. Please don't open a case we are faster and can provide better service than the eBay return service Please send us a message thru eBay or call us at  (deleted) . MON-FRI 9AM TO 5PM PST"
This was my undoing. Everything was cordial, a return label was sent and the item was returned. Not what I wanted, but so far so good?  If I had gone directly through eBay, I would have some protection and I would have been refunded or the item replaced. What happened after that was what I now realize is a purposeful delay in response to get past the 30 day chargeback time and 60 day eBay comment time. I sent several emails inquiring about the issue with no response. The second to last communication I had with them(David Ramirez) was 
 "my apologies for the inconvenience
the person who is incharge of the messages went for two weeks vacation and did not tell me of this transaction but I will help you.
let me look in to it.
by tomorrow." on 1/12. I once again waited patiently, this is a reputable well-reviewed company with 14 years in business after all. I sent several emails and messages through eBay with no response. I tried calling the company. I spoke to an employee, explained my issue, and was told:"David Ramirez was out and to call back at 4:30 (PST)." Which I did with no answer. I tried again the next day, no answer again and thought somethings not right, this is a business. I switched phone numbers (Google voice) and got an immediate answer, my number had been blocked. I now believe it was the owner David Ramirez who answered.  All I said was 'David Ramirez please', he made a groaning noise and hung up on me. When I called back, no answer. This number is blocked too. Keep in mind that I never actually spoke with him, the emails were never combative or rude in any way, there was no argument. So here I am, out $240 with beyond going to small claims court across the country (D & G is in California, I'm in New York) little chance of getting any part of my money back AND he has the same defective part to sell to another potential victim. eBay completely protects him. The companies reputation belies how easily this scam was performed, it's my GUESS that he pays for reputation services to hide his negatives. While trying to get restitution through Paypal, I have tried to communicate with David for an explanation if nothing else. A couple of days ago, he replied to one of my email attempts with "hi there, what is this about??" So I explained.......and surprise .....no further response. He has so far ignored inquiries from the BBB and Paypal. The reviews of this company look great, but it's obvious to me that they are either fraudulent or the company has significantly changed. I wouldn't recommend buying from them and I would suggest that trusting them to repair a device containing personal data is a foolish endeavor.

"After numerous failed attempts to find an e8400 Wolfdale for my new build, I resigned myself to the fact that they were out of stock everywhere. I decided to buy another processor, possibly a quad core to match my wife’s. It had been a long time since I visited D & J's retail location, so I decided I would buy locally again and have the part before the weekend. I walked into the store at 6:15 and browsed through their list of processors, but wasn't quite sure which one to go with. The sales woman asked if she could help me with something and I explained that I had been searching for an e8400 but had decided to go with another CPU due to availability. I was then informed to my surprise that they actually had one e8400 left that had been opened but not used since the motherboard it was to be installed on didn’t have a BIOS revision available to support the processor, I was a little reluctant to buy an open box item, but having dealt with the company in the past, I decided to purchase anyway. I was given a great deal since the box had been opened, and have successfully built my new system around this incredible CPU. Thanks D & J, as always, it’s been a pleasure doing business with you!"

"On the plus side Delivered videocard, fair price, in stock as advertised (which I found rare when trying to find highend card}. On the minus side, I ordered and paid for 2nd day air
and it took 6 days. Also no tracking number provided, had to call twice to make sure it was coming and for a tracking number. Would probably use again if the price was right.

"Ordered a Geforce FX 5800 Ultra, and yes the Ultra version. Ordered this bad boy, they shipped same day it came in, and I got it in 3 days on ground shipping!!! They were very hepful and informative, answered any questions I had and was always in touch, even via AIM. The service is second to none. I would definetly recommend buying from them to anyone."

"This company is great on many point of view... first... the communication... via email or via telephone... very quick answering and helpfull tips and advices... he's really respond as what we exactly want... not selling just for fun to sell stuff.. i think he's like talk and explain with customer ( i dunno with others customer but with me he's great and i don't know him .. just email him and he says to call for more information... second point of view... the price! is amazing... it's like Cotsco or superstore! the price is really for all and warranty is great.... third... the service after purchase.... if u have a problem.. just ask! and he make all him possible to resolve it! great great great! and shippping is Faster more than many bigger company online... i recommand this company to all! in D & J i trust for my buying computer parts!"
