Outstanding in all aspects

"Doesn’t get better than this company
Doesn’t get better than this company. Order details were carefully followed. The engraving was very special and that department communicated perfectly and reviewed each aspect of the engraving. The shipping was fast and the items well packed. E mail responses were lightening fast. Although well packed, there was some damage to the Waterford box. I emailed the day before Thanksgiving and then I called the local number the day after the holiday. I delightful lady answered and as quick as I gave her my order number, she told me a new Waterford box was on its way! OUTSTANDING service and I will use this company again and again.

Rude customer service

"I ordered 2 items on 12/11 for Christmas . It said the items would ship in 2-3 days . One item came very fast , but the other said backordered . When I ordered it never indicated it was backordered until I received the partial shipment , the slip in the box said the other item was backordered . I called customer service and expressed I felt they deceived me when I ordered by not disclosing this information They began to argue with me . The “gentleman” said , “look , we round rather just send the items and not have to talk to you “ then he threatened to cancel the order . They are just nasty to their customers . I’m not the only review that has been treated that way . I left another review and they said , it’s not nice to lie about the customer service rep …..I’m not lying and I believe the other reviews that are similar to mine are not lying either . I will never do business with this company ever again . Just because a customer calls to find out where their shipment is , is no reason to be rude and threatening to the customer . "

Fraud experience!

"I am an online customer and shop in all upscale stores,
Never had such a fraud experience, not to accept a return, how else could you shop online and even in physical stores if You cannot return?
I did not see, it is written very small that earrings cannot be returned, doesnt say exchanged though.
Please stay away from crystal classics. Their service is a disgrace.

Awful, rude company with a terrible inventory system

"Awful experience with a backordered product! Do not use them for anything that requires waiting. They have an awful system and no ability to fairly handle backorders. You'll just end up continuing to wait.

My issue was due to their bad inventory management systems and processes. My card was flagged for fraud, to which I approved and told them to reprocess within 4 minutes. They said that I already lost my place in line (after waiting for the product for 110 days) and that they may get another shipment in two weeks. I canceled my order with them and placed it direct with the manufacturer. Same price, free shipping and it came next day. Don't waste your time with this awful company, just buy it direct.

Horrible customer service. Avoid Crystal Classics if you can.

"I purchased both a Steuben and also a Waterford Decanter, as well as four inexspensive stainless bar tools for a total of over $1000, with most of that cost going to the Steuben Decanter. The shipment arrived in a very reasonable time and so far all was well. Once I opened the shipping box I learned that the Steuben Decanter and half of the bar tools were backordered. There was absolutely no mention of anything being backordered on the website when I created the order. Because I was not in a rush I did not bother reaching out at that time and figured that it would arrive soon. Not only did I not have a serious issue with Crystal Classics at this time, but I placed an additional order for a decent amount of Riedel crystal as well.

After nine days had passed, I reached out with an email letting them know that I was not happy with the Waterford Decanter, because it had some manufacturing imperfections on both the stopper and the body of the decanter, in the form of sharply raised bumps in the crystal and also that the crystal was not terribly clear and had very little sparkle. I also wanted to know when the Steuben would be shipping out, as it was the main reason for the entire order. Over 24 hours later and I had still not received a response, so I called the customer service number. After going through the automated system I should have been contacted to a customer service representative, but it just kept ringing. I called back and had the same experience.

The next day I used the contact us messenger on the site and I finally received a response. I was informed that imperfections were just a part of crystal and that if I wanted to return the Waterford I can, but at my expense. And on the more important issue, I was informed that they will reach out to Steuben to find out when the decanter would ship. I would have thought that would be something that they would have already done, as it was now 11 days since I had placed the order.

I patiently waited another 4 days with no response at all on the Steuben Decanter's status. I reached out with a long and detailed email letting them know that it is ridiculous that after 16 days there is no update on my $720 decanter that was paid for in full, (because I had used PayPal on the order). I also let them know that dismissing a customer's legitimate issue with a manufactures defect on an item that is meant to be both beautiful and essentially perfect (by most any standard) without even asking for a photo or any other details is not great service. Once again I received no response to my detailed email. I reached out to Steuben directly and the very next morning I received a call from a very kind woman that let me know that they had the same decanter in stock and could ship it out to me that day if I wanted. I let her know that I had to see what Crystal Classics had to say before I ordered from her. So, I waited another 42 hours without a response and finally used the same contact us messaging system on the site. With this message I basically said what I had written in that last email, but I also let them know that I wanted to cancel all remaining backordered items and return the Waterford and the bar tools that I had received. I argued that a customer should not have to pay to return an item that is flawed. And they were kind enough to agree and send me an email with a FedEx shipping label for the return. I felt like they were at least trying to make up for the poor customer service that I had received until I saw that the label specified that it was "Label for Waterford Retro Bond decanter only". So, instead of showing a little customer service and maybe maintaining a customer, they put the explanation mark on their terrible service. They knew that I wanted to return the two stainless steel bar tools, now that I had cancelled the backordered items and I had also let them know that a pair of the Riedel glasses from my other order were the incorrect model and that was my fault. Those items maybe weighed a pound or two in total and would have easily and safely fit in the shipping box. But, they had to make a point that those items could not be returned in that box. They would rather the customer pay out of pocket to return those items and could not care about the environmental impact of an unnecessary second shipment. That was just the final screw you from Crystal Classics to me.

I might have given them another chance and certainly would not bother with reviews like this if they had just shown some basic customer service, but even when they seem like they are trying to do the right thing, they find a way to make even that terrible. I will never oder anything from this company again. Their customer service almost antagonizes the customer and they tried to make me feel like I am wrong for cancelling the backordered items after 16 days without being provided a shipping date for the main item in an order.

Stay Away

"Shortly before xmas, I ordered a set of whiskey glasses for my father and paid extra for 2-day shipping so I could be certain I would receive them by xmas. Unbeknownst to me, this set of glasses was on back order and I did not receive notice until 4 DAYS later, just a few days before Christmas, that the glasses would not even ship for another 3-5 business days . I called and complained about the fact that, due to the delay caused by cyrstlasclassics, I was now not only unable to obtain this particular set of glasses for my father by xmas but also left without enough time to to obtain any acceptable set of glasses at fair price by xmas, AND had I not called and complained about it then crystalclassics evidently would have just allowed me to pay them for expedited shipping that never actually occurred. Crystalclassics representative offered to substitute an inferior product and expedite the shipping. Desperate to have *something* for my father on xmas day (rather than nothing), I accepted based on the belief that I could return the glasses if he did not like them and exchange the glasses for the product I really wanted at a later date. When I called after xmas to return the glasses and exchange them for the ones I originally wanted, crystalclassics refused to cover the cost of return shipping despite the fact that the company caused the delay that resulted in me now needing to return the product. Apparently the manger actually believes that me covering the cost of return shipping under these circumstances is fair. So now I am stuck keeping these glasses they couldn't sell to anyone or paying some exorbitant cost to return the fragile items.

Though I originally wanted to the exchange the glasses for a different set, I have decided to return the product for a full refund (minus the cost of both the cost of delivery and return shipping of course) and I will not do business with them in the future.
TL;DR: Inconvenient, unfair, and I do not recommend.

"I ordered a Christmas present from this business and apparently it was backordered but they never bothered to contact me or tell me that my order was delayed. When I realized that my order had not shipped weeks after I placed it, I called customer service to inquire on the status and was told that it was shipping that same day. Later that night I got an email saying that part of my order did indeed ship but that that half of it was still backordered. Of course, the customer service person that I spoke with knew that piece of information and knew that my entire order had not been fulfilled but clearly withheld it from me. I could have purchased my gift elsewhere and it would have arrived for Christmas. Now, I am days away from Christmas with no present and no time left to try and find it. If this business were honest, they would have informed me that my item was backordered and would have given me the opportunity to cancel. Instead, they took my money and remained silent. They may have made a short term sale but they lost my long term business forever. "

"Ordered a case of Schott Zwiesel glassware - lowest prices I could find anywhere. Immediate shipping and quick delivery. Glassware was in factory box and was well-protected in larger box for shipping.

Note that shipping fees are very high if the purchase does not qualify for free shipping, but only a $40 purchase is required for free shipping.
