"I purchased replacement headlights and the HID cool bulbs to "fit". When I turn the low beams, the edge of the light extends about 20 feet in front of my truck. So when I'm going 70 mph down the road, 20 feet does not give me enough time to react if something was in the road. When I turn the high beams on, they point up so far up as to not give proper lighting for the road. I called Spyder to see if there was a way to adjust the projector so I could move the low beams up and adjust the high beam down in an attempt to bring the high and low beams in proper position. Was told by Spyder that they do not recommend using cool bulbs in their replacement headlights for the above reason.
I was told by coolbulbs that this headlight replacement is plug and play. While the bulbs are plug and play, to get the replacement headlights in, the bumper needed to be dropped. So I had to take my truck and have the lights professionally installed.
Another note, when switching from high to low or vice versa, it takes approximately 5 seconds for the headlight to warm up. A vehicle covers a lot of ground in five seconds, making switching from high low or low to high very frightening when going down the freeway.
