The door panel clips were an exact replacement for the GM ones that I had broken when taking off my door panel. I had tried some ones I bought at a local store, but they were too brittle and shattered when I reinstalled the door panel. "Have you ever needed a door panel retainer and your local auto parts store or hardware store did not have the ONE you need. There are a lot of retainers out there for each car company manufacturer and of course they do not have the ONE that you need.
Well, as everybody knows, if you take off the door panel to replace a door speaker (as in my case) or to repair/replace a door window motor, you stand a good chance to at least breaking a part of one or breaking the whole retainer; and sometimes breaking more than one. Sure you can secure the door panel with one, or two less retainers, but it is not ideal.
Well in my case, I knew I had at least one partially broken retainer and I knew that I will be removing the rear door panels on my Trailblazer to replace the speakers that had stopped working. I knew that I will be doing this work once my speakers arrive.
I looked around on the vast internet and located a retainer that is supposed to be my correct part for my vehicle. I looked at the dealers and they wanted $2-$4 for each retainer. I looked elsewhere and found them on Amazon in a pack/box of 10 for $10.99 + shipping of $4.79. A total of $15.78. The price was fair, and the shipping was not bad, and I honestly was going to order from Amazon; but then I located this website clipsandfasteners.com
On clipsandfasteners.com, I noticed that the price item was almost the same on the item (pack of 10). The price was $10.56 and the shipping was $3.95. A total price of $14.51. The price was a little cheaper than Amazon. I decided to give it a shot so I ordered from clipsandfasteners.com.
I ordered the pack of 10 on 07/23/12 at 11:19am. I was able to use my PayPal account to pay for the item, so that was nice that I did not have to give out my credit card information.
I got an email right away confirming the order.
On 07/23/12 (same day of the order) at 12:59 pm, I got an email advising the order had shipped as of 07/23/12 at 12:00 am and it gave the USPS tracking/delivery confirmation number.
On 07/25/12 I received the order with my mail. It was quicker than I expected, especially since I live in a different state from where the company is/shipped from.
I had a great experience with this site/company. Good prices on items and shipping, and fast shipping. The only thing I could WISH for from the site is if they created a search engine to be able to enter your vehicle information/application and find the correct part that you need. That would be an ideal situation, but that is more likely an impossibility due to the wide variety of items that they sell and the ever changing auto manufacturing designs.
If you know the part number of the clip/fastener/retainer, come here first and be satisfied with great service and price.
