"Ordered $200 worth of clothing from Ralph for my wedding, he assured me he could get everything done in time (about 5 weeks time frame), I even recommended him to my fiancee to purchase some items. Well, he ripped us both off. He will not respond to email, phone calls, messages, nothing. Now we are out close to $400 and are scrambling to get the needed items for our wedding. I guess it's my fault for not doing my research on this bad business person, but I have reported him to the BBB, and the Associated links he has on his site, as well as filied a Fraud claim against him through the USPS and will be making a report with the Police Dept. in Vallejo, Ca. where he does his business."

"I too have ordered from Clansman Knitwear and am now affraid I will not recieve my merchandise. I was unable to reach him by email or phone number(disconnected). I heard you were able to at least get a cell phone number from him. Is it possible for you to send that my way? I would really appreciate it. Thanks."

"My husband and I placed an order on April 11 08 with Clansman Knitwear for several t-shirts totaling $86.20. We then tried calling the number listed on the web site. The number had been changed. We emailed the owner Ralph, and he sent us a cell phone number, which we called. He promised to get back in touch with us that day concerning our order, this never happened. After many attempts both emailing and calling, there was no response. The new phone number says the mail box is full. We have tried now many times to contact Ralph, but no luck. It is now May 7 08 and after reading all the problems others have had, I realize I should have checked his company out before hand. We just don't know how he continues to take money from people and still get in at the Highland games."

"We ordered a kilt during a Scottish Fair in November of 2005, but have yet to received our merchandise. All attempts to contact this company, including by mail, have been unrewarding. Emails were answered. They kept promising to deliver, but it has been almost a year. We now just want our money back, but they won't respond."

"After placing an order from Clansman Knitwear, I waited 8 weeks to call/email in regards to an estimated ship date, as the site claimed that for the purchase that I made of a clan crest ring, that it would take 6-8 weeks to ship. Now, having waited, sending to date, 3 emails, and leaving about a dozen phone messages, I still have not had any response whatsoever, and needless to say that my order has not arrived. The only communication from Clansman Knitwear was the original receipt of order. They claim to have a customer service department, yet they have not once answered their phone, and do not know the meaning of the words, "customer service". I will never do business with this company again, and only hope now to get my order, or legal action will be pursued...SSC.."

"Order was placed with immediate shipment assured. Nothing happened. Calls were not returned. I also ran the name and got many very disatified internet hits. Owner responded curtly (To put it nicely) to my email. Even after providing all the info requested, he replied he did't know who I was. Never order from this company under any circumstances. History of reports on the internet are accurate when compared to my experience."

"I placed my order one month ago and still have not received athing. I have tried contacting the merchant but calls and e-mails are not responded too. A google search for 'clansman knitwear' pulls up warnings about this merchant that I should have heeded before placing my order. Hindsight is 20-20!"

"Pricing and quality are superb. Customer service leaves a bit to be desired. Communication with this company is almost non-existent. Emails and phone calls are almost completely ignored. Shipping time is horrendous. It is now over 23 weeks since I made my purchase. (Shipping was supposed to be 12-16 weeks). Another purchase from this company was shown as in stock on their website, but 4 weeks later I learn that it was not in stock and will never be in stock again, yet my credit card was still charged for the item. I can say that I have been promised a return credit on the merchandise after speaking with the owner and he was very willing to send me another piece of merchandise if I had wanted it.

*** UPDATE ***

It appears that the owner suffered a death in the family that required him to travel out of the country. It would seem that his support staff is to blame for not contacting me on the late arrival of the first order and the accidental crediting of the second order.
