CIGARMANOR.COM DISHONEST SALES PRACTICES, PRODUCT MISREPRESENTATION, TOTAL SCAM. BEWARE

"CIGARMANOR.COM DISHONEST SALES PRACTICES, PRODUCT MISREPRESENTATION, TOTAL SCAM.

Cigarmanor.com / Eric Demmers sells factory second imperfect humidors for Daniel Marshall mis-representing them as perfect mint condition retail ready humidors for retail prices, or worse they simply sell fake Daniel Marshall humidors. I received a Daniel Marshall model: 20165 humidor in very poor condition with damages to the finish, poor workmanship throughout, scratches on the finish, lifting wood grain on some surfaces inside, a crooked hygrometer housing, poor finishing throughout, gouges in the wood and corresponding unsightly damages to the burl veneer at the close mechanism hinges. If that weren’t enough, big surprise, I am finding it does not hold a proper seal, so it does not maintain humidity as it is designed to do. This is not something you can ascertain right away because the seasoning/prep process for a humidor can take 2 weeks or more according to DM instructions for it to stabilize and hold the appropriate humidity. This Daniel Marshall 20165 humidor is approx. 15inches x 12inches and should easily hold humidity with 1-2 Boveda Humidity Packs after the seasoning/prep process, but even 5 large Boveda packs are not able to hold humidity in this humidor, Which is unheard off. Boveda packs are considered an industry standard, as they will hold humidity at the rating on the pack perfectly within +/- 1-2% Relative Humidity at a given temperature. So it follows that this Daniel Marshall humidor does not have a good seal. For a cigar connoisseur this is the biggest nightmare, as the cigars stored are routinely worth a lot more than the humidor, and at $600 upwards this is not a cheap humidor. And so quality is expected, as the point of a humidor as a cigar storage device requires it to hold stable relative humidity. This Daniel Marshall 20165 humidor from cigarmanor.com is completely useless, does not hold humidity, is in poor quality and at the price it costs was a total waste of money and time setting it up.

I am writing this review to share my experience dealing with cigarmanor.com and Eric Demmers, hopefully it will save other fellow Cigar enthusiasts from wasting their time and money purchasing from cigarmanor.com My experience bringing this to the attention of Eric Demmers, cigarmannor.com was very poor and insincere and was as follows:

1)I was not provided with a replacement, even though pictures were sent upon delivery to Eric Demmers and by him forwarded to Daniel Marshall, Daniel Marshall’s response was "this was one that slipped through" (Very ridiculous on Daniel Marshall part) but nothing further done to remedy or warranty their workmanship.

2)All other Humidors in stock at cigarmanor.com were also in factory seconds or damaged condition, as per pics sent to me by Eric Demmers. I was very patient and understanding hoping we could work together and fix the situation, even offering to purchase another unit, and once I receive it sending the 1st one back for a refund, which is more than I should ever have to do because of spending twice rather than once, and then hoping that they will be honest and honor their side of the deal and not try anything else dishonest like charging a 20% restocking fee, or some other questionable practice on cigarmanor.com’s part.. still nothing meaningful was done on cigarmanor.com part to remedy the situation, and they had a shady vibe.

3)Cigarmanor.com didn't do enough to remedy the situation and Eric Demmers was very inconsiderate and difficult to deal with.

4)Rather than cigarmanor.com fixing the situation promptly or at least being courteous enough to apologize and make things right they instead contacted Daniel Marshall the humidor manufacturer for every little thing copying my personal emails between Myself the “Customer” and cigarmanor.com the “Vendor” to them, which is weird, unless they work for Daniel Marshall, off the record to hawk bad quality factory second Daniel Marshall humidors online. I found this strange that cigarmanor.com did this rather than dealing with me directly to fix the situation in a timely courteous manner on their own, as I purchased from cigarmanor.com and not Daniel Marshall, So this was a game of pass the buck and the consumer getting ripped off.

For these reasons I caution others purchasing from cigarmanor.com and I would not recommend purchasing a humidor from them, in my experience they are not trustworthy or pleasant to deal with. Shopping at cigarmanor.com and dealing with Eric Demmers has been a very very poor experience.
