"This is the 1st and last time I do business with Christmas Tree Shops.

Of the 6 10-pack boxes of St. Albans Bay bird suet I received, only 2 are in good shape. 4 were crushed to some extent, and 2 of those have 2” holes in them.

As for the suet cakes inside the boxes, at least 10-15 are crushed enough that the cake is broken, plus the cellophane wrappers of 5 are torn, spilling suet pieces inside the boxes. A nice fatty mess which will take me several months to use up.

My first instinct was to blame FedEx for rough treatment, but the outer shipping boxes are in perfect shape, not crushed and no holes. This was not the fault of FedEx.

Conclusion: The stuff you sent me was junk when it left the warehouse. There’s no way that your packers couldn’t have noticed the damaged boxes. All they had to do was look into the 2” holes to see the cakes were crushed and spilling out of the wrappers. Those boxes should never have shipped!

** Update August 8, 2018 **

After I sent my email to Christmas Tree Shops and posted this review at ResellerRatings.com I received a reply from CTS early the very next morning. They offered to replace the entire shipment at no cost to me, and with no need for me to return any damaged product.

They acted in good faith, so I asked that they replace only the 2 boxes of damaged suet rather than all 6. These were delivered yesterday in excellent condition.

CTS gets excellent marks for concerned customer service, so I’ve raised their rating from 1 star to 4 stars.
