"Just got my first order from these guys & I am impressed! The prices speak for themselves (they make Amazon look expensive), but I was worried about the shipping. I ordered a fairly big stack of graphic novels(15) from them & for me USPS has about a 50% "hey, lets drop this box HARD on all 8 corners" rate. Part of the reason the price is so low is the $7 USPS shipping, so to me you are signing up for some risk there. So I get the box and sure enough it was dented all to hell (had been dropped HARD on 6 corners, lightly on the other 2). I think my best hope was it was lightly dented, maybe the hardcover stuff was in the middle, etc. It annoys me when things are moderately damaged, but I don't get all that upset about it.

I get the box home and open it up & they've packed it TIGHT on all sides with about 2" of paper. It was like an Otterbox packing job - not the slightest dent or crease in anything! The books all look like I went in to a store and picked out a nice copy of each of them.

Looking forward to many future orders with this company. I can't comment on the customer service/return stuff because I didn't need to use it, which in a way is the best customer service there is."

"I purchased two graphic novels from CheapGraphicNovels.com. They state on their website that they ship in sturdy boxes. CheapGraphicNovels.com ended up shipping my two graphic novels in a flimsy cardboard mailer with no additional protection for my graphic novels. My graphic novels got damaged in the mail and I contacted customer service to return my books and get a refund. Max, who is the manager at Pulp Fiction Comics & Books in Long Beach, CA and runs customer service for CheapGraphicNovels.com, did not want to help me with my situation and he just banned me from the website. This company has no desire to retain customers and Max is extremely rude. Once they mail out your graphic novels and have your money, CheapGraphicNovels.com no longer cares what happens. I now only use Instocktrades.com for my graphic novel purchases. They treat me much better than CheapGraphicNovels.com and ship most of their orders in sturdy boxes."

I mis-entered the zipcode and my package was sent back as undeliverable. My bad, so was willing to pay to have them re-shipped and to cover the fee USPS charged to return. But Cheap also wanted to gouge me for even more money on top of that. And, to make matters worse, the customer service guy, "Max," acted like he was punishing me for an honest mistake. A real jerk.
No price is low enough for me to do business with jerks. They lost me as a customer."

"The name alone is....risky. Usually you find any site with a name like that, you think super malicious virus nuke from the greek gods.

It's also genius because I typed just that into google to find a good place to order from that was cheap. They beat just about ANYONE'S prices (save ebay..but who cares about that cesspool). I read the two reviews here and saw a youtube video packaging review and figured they were golden. I dropped close to 200 dollars my first order. I have been 100% impressed with their service.

1) Communication! With any store, there's nothing worse than seeing something in stock but when you order it, nothing's there. Well I contacted them on a Monday night with a list of everything I wanted, I got a reply Tuesday morning and they'd went through the hole list and verified they were all in stock. A little chat here and there about some suggestions I made. I believe it was the owner and he was super nice and enjoyed his quick service.

2) Prices. Go ahead, try and beat them. I have an Amazon Prime account and even with the save on shipping, I still saved around 80 dollars by ordering everything through CGN. He stated his profit margins are rather thin compared to other so, he's really pushing to impress his customers.

3) Shipping. This...they beat Amazon again. If you've ever ordered books from Amazon that are sold by Amazon and not a 3rd party seller, you'll know what a joke the shipping department is. No protection, comes damaged etc. CGN, holy crap the box was heavy. They managed to fit all the books into one box and I could have dropped it from a sky scraper and the books still would have been fine. He wrapped all the books in two plastic grocery bags, then there was about 2-3 inches of space on all sides of the books, that was STUFFED with newspapers. I'm not talking he just put some newspaper in the gaps, he CRAMMED it in there. Those books would not have moved ANYWHERE. I ordered on a Thursday early morning, it was on my doorstep Tuesday afternoon. That's from California to Madison WI.

To put it in perspective. It was "Fables" Deluxe edition volume 2-7 and the new Deadpool Omnibus (1160 pages...), close to 200 dollars for my first ever order through them, and they blew my expectations out of the water.

Any graphic novels I order online will be through CGN and CGN only, regardless if I do happen to find a better price. The piece of mind that my book(s) will arrive undamaged is worth it alone.

The one downside I can say right off the bat, is if you're only planning on buying 1 thing, it really isn't worth it since the cheapest shipping price is 6.99. You can get better prices elsewhere with single items. It's worth it when you're ordering a ton of stuff since the flat rate fee doesn't change."

"I've ordered twice from this company now- the first time was through Amazon so I could test them out and the second time was through their website because I was thrilled with the purchase from Amazon.

I ordered one book the first time and it was brand new and factory shipwrapped as offered but for 40% off MSRP and it was out of print. That was amazing. I tried their website the next time and ordered 4 different books. One of them ended up being out of stock and out of print but the other three came right away and were brand new and perfect. It did take over a week to get to me but you can't beat $5.99 flat rate shipping with their prices.

I will definitely order from them again."
