"On 12/27, I Googled "Skype gift card" so that I could purchase Skype credit for a friend in need. In hindsight, I should have looked a little closer at the address I was selecting and realized it was a third party seller. Unfortunately, I didn't and happened upon Chatandvision's website. On purchasing gift card, it asked me when I wanted my "delivery date" to be. I selected that same day (12/27). Nowhere on that page did it state that it would be 24-48 hours to receive the credit or I would've gone elsewhere.

After my purchase, however, I received an email stating that it would take up to 48 hours to receive my electronic gift card. Since I paid via Paypal, I tried to get a refund through them and then contacted the customer the next day (12/28) for a refund. I looked at their FAQ and it said that digital goods were eligible for refund as long as they were not redeemed. Later that day, I received an email stating that "sorry, but your item has been sent on 12/29.." Keep in mind that the email was sent on 12/28. So it was too late, because my item was already sent in the future?

My biggest issue was that they should have noted that it would take up to 48 hours somewhere on the purchase page. I ended up getting another gift card through Paypal-gifts and they delivered the Skype gift card within a couple of hours.

There was some more communication with the seller in which they stated via my Paypal dispute that they would refund me as long as it wasn't redeemed. I had told them several times that it wasn't and would not be redeemed because I no longer needed it. That was the last I heard from them. That was a week ago and I have still yet to receive a refund. I had to escalate the claim to Paypal.

Do what you say you're going to do. By the way, one of my replies back to ****@**** was undeliverable and now the "Skype gift card" that they had advertised is mysteriously "out of stock.""

"Checkout process riddled with errors. Took three days, two support tickets, and using an alternate payment method to get my order to go through. Then I got the security verification hold which I reluctantly complied with by sending photocopies of personal information. Then they reply back that my drivers license is too blurry to please send another copy. I replied back that its perfectly readable and that the process is becoming too cumbersome so I don't know if I even want to complete the transaction, Without confirming they replied back that the order had been refunded. What a joke. They might appear to have cheaper prices, but you're better off just avoiding them. You will save yourself a lot of time and hassle."

"The dualphone was purchased to replace an older Philips dualphone, which required a PC to act as a server (and we wanted to retire the PC). So we have a bit of experience with Skype phones.

The new phone is very satisfactory. The sound is a bit clearer than the old phone. Installation, setup and operation are all straightforward. A good purchase. The only minus: some of the text on the screen is a bit small.

We know a new user (several months ago) who had to replace the rechargeable batteries that were supplied with the phone because they wouldn't hold a charge and we've seen a review that said the same thing. Ours are fine."

"Horrible service.. A simple order of Skype credit for my brother and they respond with some need for a "security check". I then get a message that it "failed". No further explanation or response. They have a temp authorization on my credit card. If it becomes an actual transaction, I will dispute and file an FTC complaint.

Skype and Microsoft should dump this horrible company from processing for them.

"Skype had chosen these guy's as their official partner, BUT, it seems that they no longer qualify for this distinction... Probably for the following reasons:

Their products are OK, BUT their CUSTOMER SERVICE is NON-EXISTENT!!!!

A customer should not have to wait weeks for an answer, IF it is forthcoming at all. The customer should also not have to scour the Internet to find out where to return a product and how to get a return shipping label.

AMAZON is MUCH better this way. No hassles, ask for return and then just leave for the UPS guy and done... NOT so with Chat and Vision.

Unless these are the only sellers of the product you want, do yourself a favor and shop a more reputable merchant. Amazon is good. I don't work for Amazon or own stock, I just buy from them...

BTW, a review of these reviews shows too many 5 star ratings! VERY SUSPICIOUS given that soooo many merchants buy their good reviews from people. Just saying..."
