"i just bought a go pro and read on forums that caseman made pelican cases w/ customized foam inserts (caseman's website does NOT mention that the case is a pelican so don't always believe everything you read in forums). i liked them the best out of the 3/4 options by other manufacturers. plus, i thought to myself, 'it's a pelican case and they have the best reputation.' anyhow, so i ordered it on friday morning and luckily came to conversate via email with beth, the director of marketing and media. she corrected my assumption and said that the cases were made by s3. i googled it and it looked like a good brand, also with a lifetime warranty. but i sort of wanted to match my other pelican cases :) i told beth i wanted to think it over and beth was very helpful in letting me know there was the option to order a pelican case separately with just the customized go pro foam insert. i think the price difference was minimal--$5. as i always do, i looked online to see if i could get the case from a different vendor for cheaper but couldn't. so by the time i 'made up my mind' and ordered the case, it was after 3pm my time. and to my surprise, it was shipped that very afternoon (they're in california so it was around 1pm there). i thanked beth for the speedy shipment and from her response, i can only assume it's customary practice.

I enjoyed my interaction with caseman so much that i googled them and they seem to be/have a storefront in san diego (they have a couple positive reviews on yelp and a facebook page). and it makes sense because i really felt the customer service that only comes from a trusted local shop where the salespeople guide you to what YOU really want and get orders out the door rather than having it sit for several days like some online retailers. anyhow, i'm definitely going to look to caseman for my other case needs. a review on yelp spoke highly of their customized cases--next on my list is to upgrade my laptop/harddrive pelican and they will definitely be the first ones i call.

shop at caseman to get a local shop's customer service and attention virtually. i can't say it enough that they make it an effort to provide the BEST customer service AND they also help guide you in your purchase with their expertise. that's unheard of in an online shop! once in blue moon, a store wins me over and I become a loyal customer--caseman will win you over too!
