"For my birthday, my mom gave me a $200 gift card for the Marriott spa near my house. I booked a massage, which cost $190. When finished with the massage, I showed them my electronic gift card and they proceeded to enter it into their system. After several attempts, and the manager getting involved, they told me that the card was no good. I was then told that I had to pay for my massage another way. Yeah, happy birthday to me! The company (Card Flip) refused to do anything, and told my mom that they only guarantee the funds for 45 days, yet their site claims that the cards never expire.

I even asked the Marriott if they're was a way that someone depleted the funds on the card. They told me that the number of digits in the gift card wasn't correct and also tod me the only way to get a Marriott gift card was through them, and no other companies were authorized to sell a gift card with their name on it. They mentioned that you could buy gift cards from other people that may have not used them (like on eBay), but you are taking a risk doing so.

This company is dishonest! They stole from my mom, who is a senior citizen. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS! My mom is out money, and I had to pay an unexpected bill for a massage that I expected to use a gift card for! "

"I received a digital card for Dunkin Donuts, and the card was already registered to someone else's name. Customer service told me I had to print it out to use it. When I did that and there was no balance on the card, they told me it was too late for them to do anything about it. Even though I have 45 days according to their site and it's been 34. They say they verify before selling, but I don't think they do enough to prevent scams like this."

"I purchased a Walmart gift card from Cardflip on June 25. On September 23 I was notified through the Walmart app that my Walmart gift card was used for $131.70 in Modesto, CA to purchase a necklace. A few minutes later the necklace was returned and refunded onto a new Walmart gift card. I contacted Cardflip about the fraud however they said they could not look into the issue after 45 days. Poor customer service on their part for having a weak guarantee that allows sellers to scam buyers on their site."
