"As bad as it gets. They warned me it would be 2-3 months before my order would be mailed as they wouldn't be making new stock until then. After 4 months I inquired, and they said in a couple weeks. Two months later when I asked they said they would get back to me. After that they wouldn't even respond. When I tried to get my money back through my credit card guarantee I was told I had to complain within 90 days. These people seem to be experienced robbers judging by all the other reviews and my own experience. You really don't need this stuff enough to deal with this company. "

"I ordered a 14k pentacle on July 5, 2012, plenty of time for casting. They told me it was shipped August 6th. all I did was request for a tracking number at least 3 times. A week went by and I received no tracking number or item. I told them I would wait until the end of the week and if no item I would request a refund from PayPal. Instead they claimed they went and got the package back and cancelled my order because I threatened PayPal which was a lie. I asked for a tracking number and they act like I did something wrong by asking. I suspect they never sent it out and tried to blame me and make it look like I did something wrong. I ordered from them in the past and no problem. Now they're horrible."

"I will absolutely never buy from this place again! I have ordered from here twice (only giving them a second chance because I ordered late in the shopping season last year)and each time the orders have taken almost 2 months to get to me. They have also completely ignored my inquiries. I cannot stand this place and have made it my mission to make sure no one ever gets cheated by them again."

"As with the others who have reviewed this company, I have nothing but negatives and problems to report.
They have taken my money, accused me of placing bogus orders and lying about paying (I have statements etc to PROVE they've had the money), a refusal to refund after cancelling - and then, to really make matters worse - they claimed the items HAD been shipped and gave tracking numbers - ALL of which were from that same day.
Buyer beware - this company is no good.

"May I start out by saying that I have been a loyal customer for nearly 4 years while ordering goods via the capricornslair.com website. Store manager refused to make good by allowing exchange for items their website pages displayed incorrectly. One was charcoals, and the other was Dracoinus Mastic (resin incense). Unfortunately she was most unaccommodating in allowing for return. Also is this more important issue - When receiving goods ordered via website, the accompanying paperwork always says (amongst other things) "we will not accept ANY returns for shortages). Orders are checked 3 times for accuracy". Well, this is somewhat misleading. The orders are checked (visually) by 3 seperate individuals, however weight is NOT checked. When one orders (say) 20 grams of item X, they expect to receive "20 grams" - I mean after all, some of these incense items are not cheap. I've received several orders (~7) that had shortages in weight. In asking about this, the store manager stated that they hire a local school for the blind to do their actual weighing. I am not even sure how this is accomplished, yet this is what I am being told. I am (for the most part) just as willing as the next person to acknowledge a good cause - this being one of them. I felt at the time that this program was a wonderful experience they were offering the students. I also found it rather odd that they could place a disclaimer on their shipping slips stating "no returns for shorted items". I know that most businesses do NOT do business like this - if they did, a lot of them would be out of business. Lastly, I ordered the Dracoinus Mastic (mentioned above) from this store several times in the past and grew very fond of the aroma. When I ran low, I tried placing an order on their website, which stated "in stock and available". For 4 times straight, I tried (re)ordering this item and 4 times I received a credit back to my c/card instead (after waiting the normal week to two weeks to receive). In speaking with the manager, I was told that the web pages are not always correct. I was asked to call and place future orders over the phone. In doing so, I was informed by the manager that they have made a new batch of this mastic and would have it out to me soon. In receiving it, I found that it was not only pretty far off from previous orders (scent and content wise), but "completely" different than ANYthing I have ordered from them in the past. Whatever it was that I was sent was NOT Dracoinus Mastic!... again, not even close. In speaking with the Mgr. again, I was finally told that they would accept back (pain stakingly) 2 of the 3 pouches I purchased (as the 3rd one I had already opened). The Mgr. agreed to credit the account (have yet to see this) and to return the 2 unopened pouches. I did, but only used standard mail so as to save on shipping cost (which sending via air would have cost as much as the returned items themselves) - Note - they did not offer to pay for shipping, but expected me to. I was told (by Mgr) that the items were received back with their pouches opened. Although this may be the case, they did not say that there was "missing product" from the envelope! The store manager then emailed me to say that she was going to credit the account and that "we choose not to do business with you again". I was very upset over the fact that a loyal customer such as myself could be treated in this fashion by a merchant they've done business with for years. It really disheartened me to experience this. I apologized via email however was told the above statement (about choosing not to do business again). I have not only tried to be considerate and accommodating, but I have also tried to be "politically correct" in my actions and responses to the store managers uncooperative and difficult attitude. It does not make me feel any better to know that I found it necessary to write such appraisals and comments about any business, however there are just too many companies and businesses out there these days that treat customers as if they owe these merchants something. In my opinion, we all stand to loose something if we continue to "accept" these types of actions and disregard for others. Thank you for this consideration."

"Purchased on a weekend which was a big mistake, no staffing. Tried to add to the order & when we did not receive a response to our email, we placed an order for the other product. This resulted in a duplicate order, which we caught when we were charged twice on our credit card. Contacted Capricorn before it was shipped. They said they would credit our account. After a week, we contacted them again seeking the credit. The customer service person commented, 'you gave us a bad rating' from which I infered that they hadn't processed the credit because they didn't like the rating. After another 10 days, still no credit, I contacted the bank to reverse the charge.

We gave them a bad rating on the Yahoo Store because the credit was not processed & the quality of goods is very poor. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
