Unreasonable Customer Service for Defective product

"I received my first order with Signworld Canada, and found the banner stand to be defective. We unscrewed the end just to see what the problem was; saw that there was a piece broken off, so I called Signworld Canada. I was asked to submit a photo of the defect, so I did. They emailed back to say that I had attempted repair of the stand and therefore my warranty is void. What?!? I only unscrewed a few screws to take a picture of what you asked me to take a picture of!!! I called them and there was no reasonable conversation to be had, not even with Michael the Manager. I'm sorry, but I will not waste any more time or money on such nonsense! Common sense appears not to be very common at Signworld Canada. Very disappointed and I obviously will never order from there again!"
