"Everything was great except that according to the tracking I should have had my package delivered and it did not arrive. The next day I called UPS and they said they made an error but were not apologetic about it. I don't hold that against Cameras For Less but they should re-consider who they use to ship packages. "

"INTERNET FRAUD, DON'T BUY. This store, better said the person behind, came to the brilliant idea: to buy used and broken products, advertise them and sell them as new. In the case that the customers wants to return the product, they have to pay 15% restocking fee (and of course shipping and handling) or they are not even allowed to return it. The person, who registered that site is Silberstein Hershel. We ordered a Panasonic camcorder, that had great reviews on Amazon.com but it was out of stock, and the only place that offered new camera was Camera for Less. The camcorder we received was used, manual old, the box damaged. We returned it that same day. Camera for Less refused to take it. We returned it again. They refused to take it again. Would anyone who was defrauded by this company contact me at ****@**** as I would like to take some action against the people who are behind. "

I have ordered Sony DSC-V1 in two other online shops but I was told that it was out of stock at the second day though it was shown as in stock when I ordered it. "This place is a ripoff! I ordered my camcorder and recieved confirmation of the order. Then that was followed up with an email asking me to call them. When I called they said the camera I ordered had been discontinued. They offered to send the next up model for the same price and said it was brand new and tried HARD to upsell me on accessories. What I got was a product with a copied product manual, none of the software, a camera with scratches and other missing parts! When I called to ask them about it, he insisted that it was new and would only take it back with a 15% restocking fee. Thank God I used Amex - I let Amex do the fighting for me. I will never shop with them again. STAY AWAY unless you want to take a gamble.

"The best part about shopping with Cfl was that they were listed on the Sonys web site! That gave us confidence to consider shopping with them. After our first purchase we would recommend them to anyone! The order process was smooth and fast. All questions we had were answered on the site. Customer service followed up to be sure we had all the extras we wanted. The camera we ordered was here in record time. It is amazing! The only regret -- we should have order more accessories, but that will easily be corrected -- back on the web site for Cameras for less.

"I ordered my merchandise by writing them a e-mail what i need since i"m from Australia (a Canon ZR60 Mini DV Digital Camcorder ) on a Friday night; knowing that the order would not process until Sunday (closed Sat and 15 hours time zone difference.) I received a e-mail Sunday to wire in the total $328.56 and the info. what i should print out and take to my bank and on monday i received my confirmation e-mail and tracking number. [usps arrived at 4 pm friday that week evan they said expect 4-10 bussiness days] with a bright and shiny new Camcorder in excellent condition – well packed in blister pack and in perfect working order. I paid a slight bit more than I had to (they had the lowest prices on all camocorders and more them $200 less from the price for this camcorder here in Australia, … Camera forless.com showed them in stock and they were ! The customer service reps were helpful, attentive and friendly …..all and all it was a hassle free transaction, I will buy from them again and I highly recommend them to anyone OVERSEAS!!!"

"This was our second order and all went flawlessly. Cameras For Less was found when we went to epinions.com to research digital cameras. We bought our first Olympus camera as a factory refurb and were hesitant as to how well the order and the camera would go. "Buy from this store only if you are prepared to be ripped off. As another poster has already indicated, you should be suspicious of all the glowing reviews found here that don't have a rating, those little orange icons that should be to the right of every review......take the enthusiastic reviews with a grain of salt, as they are obviously fraudulent. I ordered a now very hard-to-find Olympus C-2020z, which has a great reputation for infrared photography, and I got the camera. It looks like it is in good shape, fortunately. But I didn't get the battery charger, rechargeable batteries, remote control, camera strap, and lens cap, which were all missing from the package when it arrived. I called Cameras for Less, and the guy I spoke with had the chutzpah (AKA the gall) to tell me that the camera didn't operate with rechargeable batteries, so there was no recharger, flatly contradicting the company's own webpage describing the camera and all the accessories that were supposed to come with it. I called Olympus and was told that the accessories should have definitely been included. The fellow from Camera for Less said he would send me everything but the recharger, but I had a hunch her was just blowing me off, and so far my hunch has proven to be right.

I was lucky enough to have bought an Olympus C-5050z five months ago for regular photography from another dealer, so I can use the battery charger, remote control and so on that came with that camera, but you will not be so lucky when you open the box sent to you by Camera for Less. I will only now have to buy a camera strap direct from Olympus.

Again, unless the C-2020 has a defect I haven't found yet, I'll lose only the cost of buying the strap. But you won't be so lucky!

"Great service! My experience with some other companies was downright embarrassing. You will find at some of these online stores that they will advertise the lowest price and then when you put the order in if you don't buy the additional add-on package, they will cancel your order, but won't tell you. Obviously, the game is that they don't make money on the camera, they make it on the extra package. CameraForLess.com was definitely not like that... i ordered my camera and got it with no problems and phone calls , Very polite and no pushy sales pitch to buy additional items. A breath of fresh air working with CameraForLess.com and I would definitely use them again! "

"I purchased a Panasonic PV-GS50 palmcorder with additional accessories from Camera for less. It didn't contain all of necessary components (missing the SD card, the downloading software and the manual was a copy which was missing many pages). I contacted them 3 times but never received the missing parts. I finally returned the camera over two months ago and still haven't received a refund (over $600). "

"BUYERS BEWARE!! I would not recommend anyone buy from this store! I recently bought a Canon S45. And like many other reviews omn this site, it was sold to me as new but is actually previously owned. I called Canon and had them run the serial number to find this out. When I tried to tell this to the store manager he told me they must be wrong.

So now I am trying to return the camera. What a headache! I tried multiple times to call the store for a "Return Authorization Number" over a period of ten days and repeatedly got a message that said they were "closed for holidays until October 10th." On October 12th when I called for to get a return number, I was told I couldn't return the item because it had been longer than 14 days. I told the manager that I had tried repeatedly to call but they had been closed. He said I couldn't prove this so now I am having to get a copy of my outgoing calls from my phone company and use it as evidence. All of this for what should be a simple return.

As a side note: I find it interesting that none of the people that gave this store a good review have a rating. What does that mean?

"I recently ordered a Panasonic PV-DV53 MiniDV camcorder, and I'm not pleased at all with the experience. Despite the item being sold as 'new', it had clearly been opened, used, and returned, and was missing the lens cap. I don't necessarily mind purchasing used/refurbished equipment, but I don't like being tricked into it, plus I paid a price premium by intentionally choosing a store selling new product. I've tried to contact the company to get a lens cap, and they have ignored me. Also, their store does not run SSL, despite displaying the Verisign logo. S&H was also extremely expensive ($23). I can't recommend this store to anyone."
