"I rented a wide angle lens for a once in a lifetime trip to Alaska to see and photograph the northern lights. The lens was shipped via UPS with a guaranteed delivery date. The lens did not arrive. I contacted customer service via email. No response. I then called and spoke to a woman rep who said it was at the post office can I go get it? After staying home all day yesterday for a guaranteed UPS delivery this was most unhelpful. So off we go on our trip without the lens I ordered a month ago. Clearly they do not track their own shipments and furthermore do not care about you or your photography goals. Stay away! Don’t let this happen to you. "

"I have rented equipment from CameraLensRentals (CLR)on two occasions. In both cases, the equipment worked great and I recieved good service.
In one case, I wanted to try a tiltshift lens, so I rented one for a 6 week trip.
In the other, I rented both a camera body(Canon 60D)and 400mm f5.6 lens for a 2 week trip. I needed higher ISO and faster motor drive so I could better capture images of hummingbirds. I feel that the prices were reasonable and my hummingbird trip was successful.
Customer service was very helpful and did extra research as I tried to determine whether to also rent some combination of teleconverters (1.4xII, 1.4xIII, 2xII or2xIII) or to use my own original 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
I will definitly rent from them again."

I refer photographers to CLR's all the time!
