"Today I attempted to contact CPU CITY as I had a warranty issue with my WD hard drive, the phone line is no longer and the web site same, it would appear they have ceased trading? so much so that I contacted Western Digital direct in the call centre in the Netherlands to ask about my disk drive which I bought from them some 2 years earlier, it was identifioed that this disk was infact from a STOLEN BATCH of merchandise!!! I then identified the second disks identity by the serial numebr only to informed that this disk was infact sold as a complete PC and ought never to have been sold individually, can you imagine my horror, I have bought what I thought were legitimate merchandise from what I assumed to be a respectable company on line, yet not the case.
I wonder who else has been duped, check your serial numbers against your warranties, I dare say you shall be shocked as I was."
"I have used CPUCity several times, and each time orders have been dealt with extremely promptly. They have a sales / customer services helpline which is answered immediately by very friendly staff (who do not mind my dumb questions). It is also a local rate number, unlike most other Etailers who try to charge a premium. Today's order was placed at 2:05pm and was shipped (with tracking number) by 3:00pm. "
