"One of the worst kinds of companies I have ever seen. They do not put a cancellation button on their website, so you have to call to cancel. I called them in October 2013, asked to cancel and got a confirmation, then in June 2014 find out they have still been charging me for 8 months ($40 per month x 8 months makes it $320 of free money for them) I call them up and then they pretend they do not have a record of me calling them and start citing that the terms of service say I only have a few days to dispute any charges. Their company is complete scum. There was even proof that I had zero usage and never turned on my device since October, but they still had to act fresh with me."

"They sold me the CLEAR 4G Mobile USB for $20 a week ago, it won't do what I need (connect multiple computers), now they want me to pay $74.99 for the voyager, even though they advertise it at $49.99, because "That is only available to new customers." The speed is only 200kps on a good day, they deceive their customers, and have terrible service. Go somewhere else."

"I hadn't heard of CLEAR until a friend told me about it and I was skeptical because of that. But once I got going, which was pretty easy in itself, I was wondering why I hadn't called sooner. It's the most reliable Internet provider I've ever used. Plus, it's really easy to get online on my way to work - I was getting pretty tired of using my smartphone on the commute into town."

"Ordered a couple devices for use near Union Square, SF. Throughput was sub 3G (about 1.2Mbps) and the devices frequently lost connection despite strong signals being indicated. I cancelled service on 11/7 and never received return shipping labels as promised. I disputed the hardware cost (not the pro-rated service fee that I used and should pay for) only to be fraudulently re-charged for it by clear on 11/30. Spoke to customer service the same day, they refused to reverse the fraudulent charge and promised return labels so they could refund when they received the equipment. Again days go by and no return labels show up in the mail or my inbox. So I disputed the 2nd charge and placed a merchant block against them. Now they are calling daily to collect despite me pointing out that they are contractually obligated to provide return labels for service cancelled within the first 30days of receipt. (per their terms and conditions). Stay away from Clear!"

"I have a Clear phone and Internet bundle. I'm satified with the Internet connection, but initially the phone service was a big disappointment. Most of the time it my phone worked fine, but intermittantly I was getting so much static on it as to be unusable. It turns out the problem was due to my attaching a pre 2006 phone to the modem. Clear customer service via chat was responsive, but not very helpful. However, the customer service when I called them via another phone was about as good as I have ever experienced."

"Clear's advertising claims are all valid!

Transmission speed is three to FIVE times FASTER than Sprint. Continuity & signal strength are both excellent.

Tech support has courteous, experts who problem solve on the first call!

The price beats Sprint. BUT IS DOUBLE that of Comcast!

The Hot Spot modem is always connected; just click on your web browser and it opens.

Billing is not customer friendly. Auto debit from your checking account/debit/credit card is required. IF your payment cannot be processed on the due date, your modem services are HALTED until your payment is received. There is a difficult-to-find button on one of the payment pages that allows continued use of services, without effecting payment; or a partial ($5.00 min) payment. Buyer beware. OVERPRICED and stringent payment requirements.
