"I can't remember where I found this company but I am really glad I did. There are a lot of knock offs for Japanese animation (anime) items out there. I prefer to buy knowing the items are genuine. With CD Japan, I get that and more. Over the years I have been buying from them, I have bought CDs, Blurays and collectibles from my favourite animes.

I found the staff always helpful especially when sourcing items that come from trusted traders.

I buy on average at least once a month as one of my animes is very active in releasing items.

There are choices on deliveries and I usually go DHL which is more expensive but I get it quicker and it arrives safely which is always a concern when your item sells out before release.

I find the fact everything is in English and the staff dealing with enquiries also use English is a big bonus.

I found my favourite Japanese singer on the site, most of his cds and blurays coming from CD Japan. You are able to listen to snippets of songs so you decide if you want to buy. The prices reduce with time on the site which is also a bonus. You get points on purchases and can use them to reduce your bill. There is time limit on their use, but if you love Japanese anime you would have no problem with spending them.

They send email alerts for actors, singers, groups, games, companies and genres which you control through your account so you don't miss any new releases. Pre-orders are also easy and always get sent as quickly as possible, one of mine was due for release 24th December and I was sure it would come after Christmas it ended up being my best Christmas present that year turning up on it's release day.

I find they have a high standard in their packaging and I have never had any damaged cases.

They sell a side range of collectables from calendars, pass cases, note books, acrylic stands, key rings, badges, cushions, fans and scrolls, all of which I have purchased and everything arrived safe and sound in perfect condition. I had one faulty bluray which they gave me point credits so I could get it again but that was a manufacturing fault and nothing to do with the company. They were helpful and did their best to resolve the problem and quickly too.

I still buy from this company. I find they have a large range. They have headphones, models and special models from games and animes, T-shirts, umbrellas, parasols, other clothing, make up, pens and a lot more that I have not explored or bought, they also have original Japanese magazines and books.

The range is huge. They allow you to select your currency so you can see what it would cost for the items in your currency. You can pay in a variety of ways which also includes PayPal.

All in all. This is a reliable, friendly company who I will keep using in the future."

"I have been using CDJapan for around 3 years now for 90% of my imports and every single time I have placed an order they have done an amazing job at making sure all the items arrive to my door safely. I primarily order manga and figures from them and every time I get the a package in everything is neatly placed in the box and everything is bubble wrapped. The manga is put in these little bubble wrap sleeves with usually 3 volumes per sleeve and the figures always have an overkill amount of bubble wrap around them, which I do appreciate because when I first started ordering figures I was always nervous of them arriving damaged but that hasn’t happened yet and I am quite confident that it won’t happen. While the shipping has always been expensive I also do choose the Fedex Express option but I usually will order a plethora of stuff to make the shipping costs worth it. I’ve never really had to contact customer service for an issues aside from cancelling an order in which they always respond nice and quickly. All and all I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking to purchase CDs, Blurays, Manga and collectibles from their favourite animes"
