"Teachers are great. Director does not communicate well and seems to make things up as she goes. When questioned about rules that suddenly changed she cannot provide supporting documentation and seems to be bothered that she was questioned."

"Overall, I think CCY is very welcoming. It feels like a safe, nurturing environment and I really appreciate the quality of the lead teachers I have interacted with (Carmen, Liz, Kip, Kristen, Michelle). They are truly the heart of the school and their love for the students shines. In the past year, I’ve seen the curriculum really spur my child’s success. The weaknesses with the school are primarily with communication with management. Many times I have to follow up with questions 2+ times. A billing issue was never resolved after at least 3 follow ups. The school has improved communication about the small things but I still see some areas for improvement: 1) often members of management are not aligned (when does elective registration end, how to we go about xyz) 2) I don’t think the communication about larger things are very strong- moving up a level, changes to who will be the primary teacher during special circumstances/holidays. "I love the school and staff. I wish they had someone at the desk more during drop off and pick up. I feel that they may be understaffed and this puts a lot of pressure on them that can give the impression they do not have time to talk. The person at the front desk is the 1st person we see and it helps to have someone there ready to greet when we drop off our child. They are accommodating but having extra help would make things better. The director is amazing. The admin are awesome. The teachers are wonderful. I know when I bring my son, he is safe and loved. He loves them. They are his 2nd family and I could imagine going anywhere else."

"Overall I really appreciate the school community. CCY always feels inviting and warm! The lead teacher of the school who have been there for a while are awesome! I think solving staff turn over and new teacher training has to be/remain a priority. We get lots of communication from the school but I would love to see them narrowed on the most important things (especially when there are teacher or classroom changes/transitions)."

"There is always are warm welcoming feel from all the adults who make up the care team! The teachers and staff deeply care about the students. I can tell my daughter learns and grows from the experiences provided to her throughout the day and I know she is part of a loving classroom environment. I wish communication was clearer and more consistent about the learning happening in the room and the transitions between classes and that follow ups to questions were more consistent. (Summer themed communication was great!)"

"My experience w/this school has been welcoming & warming. They make me feel like my family is loved, noticed & not just another face in the crowd like I have seen at other schools with relatives. When there are obstacles, they approach it in a positive & professional manner. When I'm concerned about my son in regard to specific issues, they talk to me & help me come up w/new ideas to approach the situation & stay positive. I love the staff for their support. When my son first started, it was an adjustment for him. He had never been around kids his age for the 1st year & a half of his life. Ms. Michelle welcomed him & did what she could to calm him so that I could go to work. I could tell that he trusted her over time. When he went to Ms. Kristen's class, she helped me to find way to work w/his speech delay. Then he went to Ms. Ashley's class where she would help him when he would get frustrated but couldn't not express. But it is not just those teachers, it is everyone there. They provide the village."

"Infant 1 and 2 have been a blessing. The teachers are AMAZING. When she first started school, I watched the cameras all day, everyday. Now I am lucky to remember to look at them... I trust the teachers and staff with my child and do not worry about her when she is with them. I do wish they would do more learning/speech work/reading/etc, but I know the infant rooms are very full and the teachers have their hands full right now."

They care and learn who you and your child are very quickly and will tell you great things about their day. I have full confidence in them when I drop him off in the morning every day. I have seen such positive changes in how he interacts with other children his age. I appreciate how he is encouraged to learn and explore independently and as a group. The classrooms are kept clean and fully stocked with toys to learn and explore."
