Shady Shipping Practices -- Beware

"This company has very shady shipping practices. I ordered bulk soap and paid $11 dollars shipping. When the package arrived there was another $15 shipping charge added on making shipping come to more than the original price of the product. The package was refused and sent back to the company. The money that was refunded was less than the amount of the product. (granted they didn't return the original shipping charge). There was nothing stated on their shipping page about this extra shipping charge. Customer service was not helpful at all. BE WARE purchasing from this company!"

Terrible Clearance Bath Bombs

"We purchased several hundred clearance bath bombs which appeared to be a great deal at the time. Upon arrival, the bath bombs did not match the photos in the slightest, used different ingredients than any of their other bath bombs, were clumpy and mis-shaped, and were extremely powdery, despite the fact they were wrapped in cellophane. We requested a refund/return and were told due to the items being clearance, a return could not be accepted. The product page for the item does not state anything about no returns, and we were told they only place on the website where it states that clearance is non-returnable is in the fine print on the return policy page. Our order was also missing items, and many incorrect items were shipped in their place. We also ordered "Natural Potpourri" but the actual product received was artificially colored. This will be our last order from Bulk Apothecary, despite many years of doing business with them. Many of their bath bombs can be purchased from companies like Made Natural for a fraction of the price, with the same names, colors, and ingredients, and with free shipping. I am now our hundreds of dollars and have product that cannot be sold because the quality is so poor it would tarnish my brand. If Bulk Apothecary would have owned up to their misleading website information and accepted a return, all of this would have been avoided. "

Bought one product, they sent another

"I sought out to purchase Raven gloves. I landed on the Bulk Apothecary site after doing a google search for them. The picture of the gloves was Raven. I ordered them but received Clean Safety NVBlend gloves instead—which are far inferior. They rip and break just putting them on. Not sure how these can be sold as protective gloves. Even though I was outside the return window I called to explain what happened. They refused to take them back. I will never purchase from Bulk Apothecary again."

Won’t ship

"Placed an order 3/17/22. They sent an email my item shipped 3/18/22. They will NOT answer their phone. Their email on file that is linked with PayPal says inaccurate! Having to open a case with PayPal. RUN do not purchase from these scammers!"

RUN, RUN, RUN

"If you're comparison shopping, please be aware that they sell FOUR gallons instead of FIVE-gallon buckets. It says 30 pounds but I didn't check carefully.

Then, these jerks screwed up a $1500 order then refused to ship what they missed until they had PROOF that I had returned what they weren't supposed to send me in the first place.

I've been a customer for at least 10 years, but I won't go back!

Very bad customer service and experience

"I have been a customer of Bulkapothecary for over 9 years, my last order I received last week worth over $400 in oils, all 4 boxes received leaked everywhere, gallons of bottles half empty due the leakage during shipping. the UPS said not to receive them that he could take them back to sender. I needed the order and I decided to keep it and see how I could resolve this directly with Bulkapothecary. However, they were not considered in replacing the damaged gallons and instead they made me returned the leaked gallons, which I don't even have a new or clean box to ship them back to them except the leaked boxes hoping UPS accepts them as they are to ship out.
I am a small company and for sure if a customer receives a damaged product due to shipping issues, I have had to replace the items at no cost to customer.
In this case they did not help in any way, this is why I am giving them a 1 star review.
If you ever receive a damaged order from them my advice is do not accept the order, you don't want to deal with headaches later.

Awaiting Shipment for 11 Days

"I’ve been a customer of Bulk apothecary for over two years and I do like their fragrance oils. But, after waiting 11 days for my order to ship, I can only conclude that took my money for things they did not have in stock. Very disappointed. As now it is Friday so nothing will be done before a time least Monday. Which means I will have been waiting for my order to ship for two weeks and counting. I’m very concerned that they are selling products that they knew were not in stock. "

Great hand soap

"I ordered 4 bottles of soap..the pkg came all wet and a damaged sticker on box. All bottles were fine except the Gardenia. It was obviously in the unlocked position. That is how it leaked. I am pleased with the soaps! Will order again!"

LIERS. Rancid Oils. Diluted oils. Horrid customer service. LIERS

"The Oils they shipped leaked all over the box and all the other oils I bought in my order. My ordder was over $500.00.
Customer serviced lies, I was promised a full refund. I receive partial credit, not a refund as promised. More LIES.
The oils I smelled were rancid. Other oils the color and consistency were not true to the type of oil listed on their PLASTIC NOT GLASS bottles.
Bulk lied to my Bank and to the BBB claiming I didn't return all the oils which I did. More LIES.
BUlk is very dishonest. Very greedy company.
They refused to give me the parent company address when I told them it was to have court documents delivered. They refused to give me the CEO or President of the companies name. I'm sueing them.
They don't have any products directly from manufacturers. They use other oil companies to buy from, they get oil rancid oils at a discount then they dilute the oils with cheap smelly rancid carrier oils and pass the rancid oils onto unsuspecting customers.
They refuse to take back their leakly spilled all over rancid diluted oils and LIE to customers and promise a refund.
They LIE more and don't refund as they have promised.
PLEASE READ 3rd party reviews BEFORE you purchase ANYTHING from this company.
Even the BBB only has a 1.39 stars out of a 5-star rating. I could not find a 3rd party rating company with a rating higher than 1.89 stars out of a 5-star rating.
However, if you look at Bulk Apothecary website they have given themselves a 4.7-star rating out of 5-star rating- More LIES.
They have 10 or fewer employees so there is NO WAY you get an intelligent person on the phone or through email. They make $7.00 an hour which is well below the poverty level the only employees they can hire are the bottom-of-the-barrel scum that can't get jobs anywhere else. That is why their customer service is so horrid. Bulk trains their employees to lie, cheat the customer, steal their money and then laugh about it.
Their products have a bad reputation, they are rancid and diluted.
Their customer DISservice is a DISservice and a joke and Bilk seems to be proud of that fact.

Terrible Customer Service

"Having serious issues with customer service. I ordered supplies and THeY sent me the wrong things. They won’t even start working on shipping my order until they see movement on the return... okay. BUT then they refuse to even upgrade my shipping so I can get my order in time for when I need it. It wasn’t my fault they sent me the wrong thing. I was a very patient customer when they had Covid delays and was very understanding. I would expect a company that expects “caring” from their customers to offer the same. I ordered within plenty of time to have the correct products sent to me. When THEY shipped the wrong products THEY refuse to help with any of the inconvenience they’ve caused my business. ALL I asked for was to be able to get my items in time since it wasn’t my mistake. Their refusal to properly handle this situation is definitely making me look at this company in a different light. Their is absolutely no way I would punish a customer for MY mistake."

Long Time Customer - Lost

"I have been ordering the pre-filled plain lip balms. Not to sell, I am just addicted along with family members. I re-ordered 3 fish bowls (100 each). We noticed right away the lip balm had a terrible odor. I immediately wrote them about my concern and the response I got was "no refunds". I explained I was not looking for a refund but before I ordered more I wanted to be sure the problem had been corrected and more importantly, they were aware of it... no response. So then I called, got a very nice **** the phone who clearly was not "allowed" to discuss so I finally asked this question "is it possible you have changed your formula for the lip balms" she said "yes". What kind of customer service is this? You could have kept me as a customer and having made my own lip calms in the past, I might have been able to even help you figure out what was going on. I am moving on!! So sad and unnecessary. "

Very poor customer service

"I was I recreated in an essential oil that was out of stock. I clicked the option to let me know when it was back in stock. 2 days later I received an email that it was back in stock. I immediately ordered it and added a diffuser since shipping was already pretty high. A few days later I received only the diffuser and no oil. Mo one called
Or emailed or offered to let me know that the oils was out of stock again within 2 or 3 days. I have since sent multiple emails and called with no response. Since the diffuser was an afterthought and I still paid full shipping g I am unhappy about what seems to be bad Information that the oil was even in stock.

Germ Attack hand sanitizer is horrible

"They are now selling "Germ Attack" hand sanitizer. This product has a miserable fragrance. I have tried to leave a review on their website, but it won't allow new reviews. Don't buy this sanitizer. It's garbage."
