"I have been a customer of BRW for nearly 6 years. I didn't use to have any problems. Then about a year ago, they started charging over DOUBLE the long-distance rate quoted on their website. I e-mailed "Jack", my support person twice, and when I finally received a reply he claimed that he would fix it. Nothing was done. Only after I contacted the BBB did he credit my account and change the LD rate to what it should be.
Last month on July 4th, I received a letter in the mail saying that as of July 1st, if I did not call my local number and change my PIC code to the carrier that BRW has changed to, I would be charged 8.1 cents per minute (previous rate was 3.2 cents per minute). I called and made the change on July 10th. However, from July 1st on I was charged 10 CENTS per minute. I e-mailed Jack and received no reply. I guess I'll have to contact the BBB again to get my money back and find another LD provider. BUYER BEWARE!

"I have had several carriers over the years and I have to say this is the best company by far. I was surprised to find there were no hidden charges. I like the way you bill as well. As you can see. I either don't call at all or I'm talking and talking all at one time. I like not getting the huge bills and you charge when it gets to a certain amount.
I was surprised to find this letter from you and it was not a form letter. Keep up the great work. This is like doing business with the old country store that does what they say they will do and when the tell you something it is as good as their hand shake.

"We have had BigRedWire for in and out of state long distance since February 2005. We also make some international calls. In that time they have provided exactly what we wanted: Very low rates, no minimum monthly fees, no hassle. We have had no problems whatsoever. You may notice their website is full of personality, but it is straightforward to use if you ever want to check your bill. They make long distance one of those services we never have to think about. That's exactly what we wanted."

"I have used this company for long distance telephone for the last two years. I have been completely unable to get anyone to answer my emails for the last two months. The only confirmation of a new phone number added to my account was when I received the bill a month later. Something has really gone down hill with these people. I'm canceling my account."

"i have had bigredwire for maybe 6-7 years. I use their ZAP program. That means i not only get the lowest long distance rates, but I pay $16/yr and can ZAP the outstanding bills potentially down to -0-. I have used online customer service and they have been prompt and helpful. If you get friends on it..you can have free long distance up to a limit each month with BRW users. I think it is great ! Just my opinion."

"My bank extended the expiration date on my credit card by two years. I tried to update my records via Big Red Wire's web site, but received an error message indicating that there was less than $1.00 in the account (the account had sufficient funds). I emailed Big Red Wire many times to explain the situation, but got nowhere. Big Red Wire has no "customer service" phone number, so email is the only hope of contacting them, and emails are ignored. "

"I am thrilled to have found bigredwire as my in state and out of state long distance carrier. they offer a great deal on long distance at $.03 a minute and no other charges. The set up is very easy. The bills come by email. Payment can be made online or by paper check. they respond to questions promptly. They supply live support online via chat dialogue. My phone bills are delightfully low. In short I can't think of any negitive comments about bigredwire. If the "BIG" phone companies worked like this life would be so much easier (and cheaper) I give them 2 thimbs way up, "10" etc."

"Signed up for long distance service with BigRedWire in February 2003 only to find out it is a SCAM because of BigRedWire's BAIT-AND-SWITCH tactics. Was told their state-to-state rate is 0.04/minute and Pennsylvania in-state long distance is 0.07/minute. These rates were posted on their web site as well. Recieved my bill and was charged a whopping 0.20 per minute for Pennsylvania in-state calls. This is 186% higher than the 0.07/minute rate quoted to me by BigRedWire. Went to smartprice.com website and BigRedWire is still advertising 0.07/minute for Pennsylvania as of 04/03/03 even though they don't deliver. Contacted BigRedWire's customer service a week ago and did not recieve a response even though they claim they will get back to you within a day. BigRedWire needs to stop their false advertising."

"I am from Hong Kong and registered with www.bigredwire.com for 4 years already, and I also have been chasing on my refund for almost 4 years, till now, I still have not receive any news yet. Plus they even shut down their Hong Kong connection already. If there is anybody who know where I can get help from, please kindly let me know.
