"Bought a laptop battery from this outfit. When I received and try it in my laptop it did not work. I informed them and they asked me to return it for "testing". Of course they concluded that the battery was functioning correctly.
They asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I told them I would rather have a replacement. Then suddenly on September 30,2021 the gave me a refund for the cost of the battery. As it stands, I'm out over $32 and nothing to show for it. Worse online retailer I have dealt with do far. Stay away from this ametuer run two bit company."
"6 months after receiving my laptop battery it has gone 100% completely dead. It won't even hold a 1% charge! I contacted them regarding their 1 year warranty and have got nothing but a run around! At the bottom of the email it says 2 MONTHS for them to"test" it and determine if it is covered under warranty or not. When I emailed them back to question why it takes 2 months they quit responding. So now, I have a dead battery after 6 months of use, and this "company" does not even have the decency to return an email to sort out the warranty! SO Ticked off with this place! I wish i had of read all these reviews before hand. Sure the 5 stars on their website is just them inputting good reviews for themselves! I will NEVER order from these people again, and I will be sure to make sure no ones else makes this mistake either. There are plenty of other legit companies out there to order from. Any laptop battery should not be dead after 6 months. Total junk they sell !"
"They shipped us battery via UPS and gave us a tracking number. UPS immediately showed it will be delayed, so we ask sales to contact UPS. Finally, UPS showed that its in Hamilton and will arrive on 9th of this month. But never came so I launch complain with shipper and UPS, only UPS responded. Suddenly on UPS tracking it showed (!) and asked UPS what is happening? Finally got a chat with BattDepot and clearly told now we have to cancel the order and get battery from nearby seller, they agreed and ask us not to take shipment, either refuse or take it UPS store. UPS delivered us on Victoria Day and we return to UPS store and surprise they return to us. Meanwhile UPS is working to return but supplier would not even send us RA. I got battery via Fedex in one day from Canadian Battery"
"Our company orders several times a week from this company. We order so much that we very often take advantage of free shipping for orders over $140. We understand defective batteries must be returned at our expense but our experience is about 5% defective
rate and we have never been refused a refund. Cost is better than most places and their website is very easy to use and track all orders."
"My terrible experience with this company matches other reviewers' comments. Seems they make money on shipping fees. They sent me a dud battery that barely worked. I calibrated as instructed and my laptop shuts off after minimal use with this defective battery. They want to charge me shipping for sending back the useless battery and will not guarantee refund of anything. I attempted to process a charge reversal through PayPal but they won't help as the fine print on BattDepot's contract says that customers must pay for shipping back (I never thought that would apply to defective, useless products they ship to their customers being with).
Please, save yourself the hassle and just pay a bit more - go elsewhere. Also, don't make my mistake and forget to review the company BEFORE purchasing. Amazing PayPal etc., supports this vendor. They are also known as Dr. Battery and a few other companies. There is a trend here with them and it is not good. I would have posted zero stars on the rating but that's not possible. Good luck! "

I gave my proper home address, but they gave the courier another address in another city, took my money, never answered emails, live chat doesn't exist. No, their batteries will not last as long as 'genuine' original OEM batteries but I have never had any expectations that they would! Since I've never had any problems with e.g. wrong battery etc I have no comment on the company's customer support system. Fast shipping - I ordered a battery on a Friday and received the battery on the following Monday."

The item received did not work. I complained.
They wanted me to pay to SHIP IT BACK. I did. I never heard from them.

"I have just completed my second order with BattDepot. The first was without a hitch, the second one had a burp.
Keeping in mind that this company must deal with the many hundreds (thousands ??) of batteries, thanks to the manufacturers, and that almost all are unique, and that there are different batteries for even the same model of an item, it is easy to see why there are problems.
However, as per the "burp" noted above, once we exchanged a few emails, the company came through for me, and i have the right battery working flawlessly at this time, for no extra cost.
My suggestion is: do as much research as you can to ensure you have the right model and battery identified, and then send an email to confirm with them that it is in fact the correct one.
When all of that is done, the case should be open/shut: if the wrong battery is sent, or one that is defective, the supplier should be responsible.
I am pleased with the process with them, and would recommend them as a source."
"Ordered a battery for my Nikon D700 and a once in a lifetime photography trip to Havana Cuba but when the battery arrived, it wouldn't take a charge! Checked it in two cameras and tried two different chargers but no luck. Turns out this is a common occurrence with Battdepot's camera batteries but it almost ruined the trip. Fortunately I was able to procure a Nikon D600 to use instead.
BattDepot has an RMA process but they don't refund shipping nor provide a return shipping label (you have to pay) meaning you might as well just throw the battery away as the return shipping is almost as much as the refund. Wasted money instead of savings.
I will never order from this company again."
"This site is a scam! They will send you a battery that most likely doesn't work, and if you exchange it (at your expense!) they will send you another broken battery! They don't test their products! What's worse, you can't get a chargeback, because according to the credit card company, you have no dispute rights if the vendor "tried to fix the problem" (even though they sent you a knowingly broken product). DO NOT DEAL WITH BATTDEPOT!"
