Shipped wrong item!

"I ordered gas lenses, insulators and cups. The gas lenses and insulators were correct, but the cups were wrong! I called and was told, the best thing for me to do was buy another box of cups, and ship the wrong cups back for a refund. The even admitted shipping wrong cups! I suggested sending me correct cups, with a return label to send wrong ones back, but was told no....they couldn't do that....I live where there are many, many welding supplies in area, I will NEVER do business with Bakers Gas again, and encourage anyone in welding to do the same!!"

Are they really a business?

"21 Days and counting still no grinder or refund that I requested 10 days ago. No customer service. Just once in a while you will get someone to respond with a lame excuse. Truly pathetic STAY AWAY!"

No more Bakers Gas and Welding for me!!

"I ordered 2 welding shirts from Baker Gas And Welding. Their web site said free shipping over $50.00. I received my order and they had charged me $17.95 shipping. I called to complain and they told me they changed their rules. The shirts were too small. So I had to send them back. They charged me $15.00 to send them back. So I paid $32.95 for nothing. Just to try and do business with Baker Gas and welding. No more for me. "

Esab rebel 215 with X-Large bundle NO RETURN

"Ordered esab215 rebel mult /purpose weilder on sept 21 2022 ,took about 10 days to arrive is ok not in a hurry.about 2 weeks later doctor put me on heart monitor fore a week ,says I need a pace maker ,heart is stoping on and off can’t use electric weilder. Pacemaker is being put in on November 2 . Called baker told them my story.said sorry to hear but has been over 2 weeks no return .Never even plug it in only looked at it in Spain bed room randy hicks"

Horrible company

"I called them after a week past since I placed my order. I was told it would be shipped that day. I called them the next day they were open after it had not shipped and they said it would be shipped that day. Today I called them in the morning and they said it would be shipped today. It's been 8 days since I placed the order and it hasn't shipped. Needless to say I will be canceling my order and telling everyone to avoid this company. Places like this are why Amazon has taken over the online markets."

Sent wrong welder and wouldn’t exchange for the one I purchased!!

"I don’t know how this company is still in business. I am extremely unsatisfied with the customer service. They took weeks to send me Esab 205 rebel which I paid for. Instead they sent me a Miller 220 AC/DC. When I tried to exchange it they said it was outside the 30 day exchange window. I said it took weeks for you guys to send it in the first place and I paid for the Esab. They said there is nothing they can do and they totally get how I feel like I had been worked like a rib. With these tactics they won’t be in business long. Spend all their money on ads so they are the first company that pops up every time you look up a welder. It’s a rip off snd I am very perturbed by their customer service. It’s ridiculous. I wish I could give them a fraction of a star. Unscrupulous business tactics and will do whatever it takes to get your money. But watch out when they do because you are at their mercy. Don’t be surprised if you get burned also. . . Waste of time and money. "

"I ordered a welding helmet from Baker's Gas. The very next day, I received an email from an employee thanking me personally for the order. That email impressed the dickens out of me. I have been in the service industry for decades. I have never experienced that level of customer service for an online order before. Thanks and kudos to Bakers Gas and Welding and Greg for an exceptional experience,."

worst customer service

"1st time customer and they have the worst customer service they don't care about the customer and their orders. I placed an over 2 weeks and still no order. they said spend over $50 and we will ship in and have it to you in 2 days. with many of phone calls and instant messages they were out of 1 item last week and now they are out of another item. they promised me 2 different time that my order will be shipped and still nothing. if you need welding supplies in a hurry stay away from here.

finally received my package 16 days later and they did not ship all the items. I ordered 2 safety glasses and they only sent one but they said they sent 2. and im still waiting for 1 item they did not ship.

horrible cancellation policy. avoid this shady business

"ordered a bunch of respirators but can't cancel my order nor receive it in time due to backorder. The company blatantly states that it has listed "unfortunately we are unable to cancel your order due to the extreme situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak. We do have this listed on our website on every respirator page via our chat module, and we have it listed in our return / cancellation policy as well". Well, if you have no idea regarding delivery date, how can you hold others' fund indefinitely?????!!!!!"

This company is a joke

"So I purchased a helmet, get an email back stating that because my shipping and billing address were different that they are pausing my purchase. Fine that ok , so they asked if I could pay thru PayPal. I said sure just refund me the funds. It took 6 days to refund my account. Customer service ****, they take forever to respond and all they say is sorry for my the inconvenience. So I’m still without a welding helmet and now they’re without a repeating customer who spends a lot of money. Thank god for Amazon!!!!"

"Just received the Lincoln Viking 3350 from Baker's. Ordering was super simple with all the info needed to make an educated purchase and was given updates on my order. Baker's will be my welding supplier from here on out, other than getting my cylinders filled. Unfortunately I will still have to do that locally. "

Baker does it right!

"I am now a very loyal customer of Baker Gas! Also a big fan of Nikki, the very helpful person I've worked with there.
I ordered a Red machine late in 2015 and it had some issues (A newly released machine and I'm sure a few bugs to work out). Baker quickly responded to the issue and arranged to have it sent back there on their shipping account #. The red machine had been on a special sale and when I told them I'd decided to go Blue instead (I'd lost confidence in the first machine after getting one that didn't work), they gave a great deal on that one too. I now have a great welder (I'm also a new and loyal customer of Miller, after using other brands for over 40 years) for a great price and have had the pleasure of working with Nikki and the other fine people at Baker. I have subsequently ordered other items from Baker and always been happy with the service and the quality of the items. I would choose them first for anything they carry knowing it will be priced right, come quickly and that they will stand behind their items. Every interaction I've had with them left me pleasantly impressed.

"I call and talked to a sales rep. who was very polite, and guided through
the ordering procedure.
I ordered a welding helmet and welding jackets. I couldn't believe
they arrived so quickly. The very next day I got home from work, they were on my front porch. No Delivery Charge....
