"Although this appears to be a smaller photographic supply store without a brick and mortar walk-in store, they were excellent to deal with. The Canon 24-105 f/4L zoom lens is a hard to find item. I called them on a Friday and Jeff indicated that their next expected shipment from Canon was the following Monday, so I placed the order. My order was shipped out that same Monday and I received it on Wednesday. It was double boxed with excellent packing and the invoice was sent by USPS. The price was excellent and as stated. "I originally came across this shop in an almost overlooked thread at a popular digital camera forum (dpreview.com). I noted what was about the best price I'd seen (legitimate price) on a Canon 300D (digital rebel) and the Canon 18-55mm 'kit' lens with USA warranty ($899 + shipping costs). I was looking for a 300D w/kit lens and found current pricing was typically between $950 and $999+ and only the $999+ prices were 'in stock'. I considered waiting for a price drop to come along or to shop a local discount chain the next time they released a 10% off coupon.

I decided to investigate and what I found was nothing short of an excellent reputation and a lot of positive comments about a gentleman named 'Jeff' who works at Badger. The bulk of this feedback came from Badger's main consituents: Large/Medium format photographers Equipped with this feedback, I did my own research, checking the local Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce in the area to establish the legitimacy of their business.

Having satisfied my own needs for ensuring this wasn't another scam site (like so many of those low-ball sites in NY!!), I phoned Badger to inquire about placing an order. I was shocked to find myself speaking with Jeff once I indicated the equipment I was interested in was a 300D and 35mm Canon lenses. Many of the posts I'd read referring to Jeff dated back a year or two so I figured whoever this Jeff was he'd surely be long gone or only one of many employees, perhaps the only 'good' one, or something along those lines. Turns out.. Jeff is there, and has been for sometime now. And, Jeff's reputation for being friendly, honest, helpful, etc. was quickly validated with me as I made numerous inquiries about lenses, shipping methods and costs, availability, etc. He even seemed mildly surprised after 'warning me' that the 300D was not in stock and would need to be placed on backorder. There was no pressure to take an order.. at all. The only concern I ever detected was that I had all my questions answered, is there anything else I'd like to ask about or need, etc. Nothing short of helpful, honest, and excellent service.

So, long story longer: I order a 300D with kit lens (full USA kit with USA warranty) for $899 + $12 shipping to Boston from Wisconsin via DHL express, on backorder with an estimated delivery of 'up to two weeks.. but probably a bit shorter based on current shipping patterns'. That's on a Thursday afternoon. The next morning (friday) I phone back to provide an email address so they might be able to communicate order status via email instead of phone (recall I ordered via phone). I'm informed that my camera is in a box, taped, labeled, and set to go on with that afternoon's shipments. Needless to say, I was shocked.. and very happy.. so, I decided I needed a lens hood for a lens I bought elsewhere and they happily popped the box open, dropped in the hood, added something on the order of 80 cents to shipping, and everything arrived as promised, no surprises, on the following Tuesday morning.
