Was treated very poorly on a return call.

"I made a purchase and then filled out a form to get a call back on a product I was interested in purchasing where I would be spending ~3k. The person who called me back had no idea about the product or any technical aspects at all and could answer no questions. They were rude and acted mad that I was asking questions. They obviously only called to take an order and didn't want to provide any sales support or information. There was no offer to get someone else that could help me with basic questions. They even answered one question incorrectly and when I pointed that out they got even more upset. I finally asked them why they were calling and the exact words were "Ok, this call is over." and then they hung up on me without a goodbye. I will never purchase from or recommend this company again. I do no appreciate being interrupted during my work day by a rude person that has no idea about products they are trying to sell and to make up for it tries to treat me as poorly as possible. What a looser, direct reflection of the company to have someone like this employed. Audio Axxholes would be a more fitting brand."

Had a positive experience buying open box and demo units

"I just wanted to say that I had a really good experience buying some open box and demo unit speakers from Audio Advisor. The price was insane, so I thought there must be something wrong with the speakers. I received the speakers and everything was packaged really well. Both speakers looked like they were in new condition. I would definitely buy from them again."

Good inventory but little knowledge of their products.

"Called Audio Advisors for question on two items. The support person was nice enough but couldn't answer any of my questions regarding the products I received from them. In a competitive marketplace its post sales technical expertise that sets a company apart from everyone else. Pretty shocking especially when Audio Advisors tout that their support staff has decades of experience yet cannot answer basic questions. "

Bad customer advice and return policy

"On the advise of sales staff ordered a Parasound Zpre3 pre-amp for second home. Did not get a chance to set up until a couple of months after purchase date due to scheduling. Contacted Parasound for set up assistance and was informed the Z3 would not work for my set up. Called Audio Adisors following work day and explained the situation and informed them what I would need the Parasound 200 which of course would cost additional monies. I said fine to that but was informed that they would not credit me for the Zpre3.

So obviously you need to not rely upon their advice and make sure you install immediately so if you have an issue you can return.

"DO NOT BUY FROM AUDIO ADVISOR! Awful seller. Whenever you buy to them they automatically start sending you lots of catalogs and there is no easy way to make them stop. They were also incredibly rude to me on the phone"

"I called Customer support to ask about a cheap turntable that they had listen on amazon. I was asking about it's condition since it was a pretty good deal, and after I get off the phone, I go to try and buy it only to find that the listing is gone! right after I get off the phone, I can only assume the amazon support employee I was talking to on the phone went on to buy it before I could! And the employee won't pick up when I call back because he knows what he's done. Very disappointing. Bad people work for this company."

"Over the years have dealt with them repeatedly purchases large and small. They are one of the best places on the web to purchase electronics. Reasonable selection, nowhere can carry every line, not always the cheapest but I can order from them without any concern of having a bad online experience. Yes I have had occasion to return an item it was painless they actually seemed to care about customer satisfaction, an increasingly rare attitude today.
In addition AA ships very fast.

"I wish all online audio shops were this easy to deal with. I am a cheapskate, and always look for audio bargains.

I ordered two little amps from them, and they were advertised as "demos." I could not find so much as a fingerprint on them. I continue to shop there, and though the prices have risen a bit, they continue to impress!

"I ordered a pair of speakers stands from Audio Advisor. My dealings with them have been smooth and nothing short of awesome. I ordered the stands on a Tuesday and they arrived on my doorstep on Thursday of the same week. Talk about fast! I just wish I had a larger home theater budget to spend with this company. I would not hesitate buying from Audio Advisor in the future."

"They had the best price on an item. It was so far below it had to be a price mistake maybe. I noticed not to long after I ordered the price went up. Still in all it was shipped quickly and was brand new with no damage.

I have purchased items from them in the past but this was such a great transaction I just had to post.

"Difficult - Seller would not allow billing address and shipping address to be different.

My Father was going to buy a turntable for my birthday, but the order was placed on permanent hold. When asked about this, the seller stated that the credit card company must have the shipping address on file. When speaking with the credit company, they stated that this is not necessary and is very uncommon. However, when telling the seller this information they would not budge.

Order was cancelled and business was brought elsewhere.
It's interesting to note that seller stated that 50% of their sales are put on "permanent hold."
And apparently everyone takes their lunch breaks at the same time making it difficult to contact them when needed. Not good business in my opinion.
