"I placed an order with Armygear.net March 31st and received the order today, Apr 9.I chose the most economical shipping method, I was in no hurry.Everything was as described/advertised ,excellent condition, obviously brand new.I ordered a tan 2 qt. canteen ,they called and told me it was out of stock, asked me if I would accept another color which I did.I actually had a perfectly normal everyday type of web transaction with no hiccups or irritation.I have no reason not to do business with these folks again.Given my experience I would recommend them."

"I have never in my life spoken to a nastier person than the one that answered the phone. I called to place a $1000+ order and all I got was arrogance, the person would not even give his name."

"Worst service ever. The link they send you in the email is a broken link and if your order is delayed they give you no notification . You have to call to get info and regardless of how long they have been taking they make no apologies. I will never order from them again. A week and a half later and my package still hasn't been shipped. I called on Monday to tell them the link was broken and to check on the status of my order and was told that it should be shipping out tomorrow (Tuesday) . I didn't call again until Friday and they said that they didn't have enough product and were waiting on a shipment themselves . They said Monday at the latest is when they should get their shipment. I would have appreciated an email on Tuesday when they realized my order would not be shipped out. This is the worst service and I will go to another website next time."

"I ordered long john tops, 50/50 wool blend. The same ones we were issued for BCT at Fort Ord in December, a number of years ago. They arrived in 7 business days, in brand-new condition. I am snuggled in the warmth of army surplus as I write this review. Needless to say, I am most pleased."

"After looking around the net for some time on places to purchase some camping gear (packs, MREs, and other misc. gear) I came across armygear.net. After finding them I took some time to look around at reviews and all seemed well. Until I started the order process.

After making my first order buyer's remorse set in hard. Not for a dislike of what I order, I just decided I wanted to add another item on to my list without having to have 2 different orders with 2 different shipping costs.

So I decided to e-mail the company and ask to cancel my order. After about a business day I finally received a reply saying it would be cancelled. Many hours and hours later the charge is still on my card. Many more hours waiting and the order finally shows as cancelled but the charge is still there. I decide to e-mail them again asking the reason (remember, I had plans on adding more to my order) and I get this from them:

"relax buddy-if you stopped emailing i might have time to credit you....you are one big pain-if you keep bothering us we might
wait til next month to credit you-how do you like them apples?"

What sort of e-mail is this? Especially to a customer that had plans on ordering more (I didn't tell them this till I received that e-mail). Now, If I had waited till the items shipped or if I e-mailed them every 10 minutes I could see this. But it was over a span of 2 days of an item pending before it was even cancelled.

So in summary, armygear.net might have excellent prices...but in the customer service department I wouldn't give them anything higher than 0.5/10.

"Was searching the Web for stackable, ruggedly constructed, gasketed, military surplus .50 cal ammo cans (not attractive, except in a G.I. way, but to my way of thinking a lot better and cheaper than flimsy plastic for storage), and I found listings for such cans—in various conditions and at various prices--on Ebay, and at several other sites on the Web. From the pictures at some of these sites, many of the cans were pretty beat up and/or rusty, and I found that prices at some sites were double the prices at other sites for cans in similar condition, moreover, many sites wanted to charge quite high shipping costs for these heavy cans.

I had never heard of nor dealt with ArmyGear.net, but I found that they had such cans in several conditions, including “excellent condition,” with their price for excellent condition cans lower than other sellers were charging for cans in much worse condition, moreover, their shipping charges were—by a considerable margin--the lowest I found. Bottom line—at ArmyGreat.net I could buy more cans, in the best condition, at the lowest bottom line price ($13.36 per can delivered).

When I placed my order, I got an immediate email acknowledgment of the order, and a day later a shipping notice with a tracking number. The cans arrived today, 6 calendar days after I ordered them. The cans were well packed, and on inspection were not just in “excellent condition.” they appeared pristine and unused. I will definitely do business with ArmyGear.net again.

"I've ordered from Armygear.net twice now. Both times an invoice was emailed out immediately and the order apparently arrived quickly (via UPS). A tracking number was not emailed, but could probably be obtained through the website.

The ammo cans and MREs are as described and I'd be happy to order more in the future from Armygear.net.
