"I find Amsterdam products to always be of excellent quality and long serving. People tend to keep them, use them, comment favorably upon them, and ask for them. Amsterdam's prices are reasonable, if not always lowest, but there has never been a reason to worry about quality which is important. You can not make a positive impression by giving people junk with your name on it.
I find the service excellent and the people at Amsterdam a pleasure to deal with. Sometimes you need an item in smaller quantity and Amsterdam does not require prohibitive minimums."

"Our club ordered pens several months back and loved what we got. We decided to reorder another 250. Price was a little higher and another "setup" fee was charged for the exact same pen, but decided to go with it.
Shortly after order was placed, I got a call from "Pete" what wanted to offer me "special". Said my blue pens/blue ink were on backorder, but he could get me the blue pens/black ink sooner and for ordering another 250 (500 total) my cost would be $519. This was only about $100 higher than my original order for the blue pens/blue ink, which he said would be in by the end of May. I repeated the amount as the total cost several times, as did he. He sent a confirmation of the change, and the amount that came through was $590. I questioned him, and he (in my opinion, rather rudely) replied "No, I repeated that several times." To which I replied, "Yes, you did, but due to your accent, I HEARD $519 and repeated that back to you several times." I realized that it was probably "mis-hearing" on my part so I proceeded with the order.
The whole interaction just left a sour taste in my mouth and, while I love the pens, I feel a little "taken". I will probably not answer any more calls for a "better deal." "

Amsterdam immediately reply to my review and offered me a discount to offset the cost of shipping which I really appreciated. I really like the personal merchandise, it is very nice and the quality is good. However, they may want to explore other shipping methods, because the rates would cause me not to order in the future.
