I was going to try to unlock a couple other phones, but I will not use this company. They've just screwed themselves out of future sales. Not a smart way to do business. I paid $4.99 for this order (which they had in minutes). I started to place the other 2! Orders (to unlock iPhones) which would have cost me another $39.98. So glad I didn't make that mistake! I will update this later -- if I ever get my code and it works!! I could not rate my level of interaction with customer service because they are unresponsive!"

"I went with AmericanUnlocker MAINLY due to the ALL POSITIVE reviews here: 5 out of 5. NOW, hoever, after dealing with them, I'm highly skeptical of these positive reviews being REAL, and I don't think this business deserves such high 5-out-of-5 marks. In my case, I was having trouble with my IMEI # (format of my device's number seemed unusual) and sent 2 e-mails to AmericanUnlocker asking for guidance so I was SURE I was sending them the right IMEI number -- NO RESPONSE to either e-mails. Not hearing from them, and not wanting to wait TOO long to unlock my phone -- and again, considering their 5/5 reviews here -- I guessed (best I could) what my IMEI # was and filled-out their form and sent it in as an official unlocking purchase order. The next morning (more than 12 hours later) I get an e-mail giving me the code. I don't know if the code worked because it turned out my phone was locked a different way, not by IMEI #, so I will never know if AmericanUnlocker gave me the right code. I tried 2 more times to contact them but got the Mailer Daemon note saying it couldn't deliver to AmericanUnlocker. I tried again later to tell them about the Mailer Daemon (they only give ONE e-mail contact) but THAT also was Mailer-Daemoned back to me. Consequently, I was NEVER able to get ahold of ANYONE there at AmericanUnlocker, EVER -- that's not acceptable. Considering the positive reviews here (5/5) I was surprised that there is no "Customer Service" at AmericanUnlocker, as NO ONE gets back to you...which makes me highy skeptical of all the HIGH ratings they have here at ResellerRatings. I suppose if you never need to REACH anyone there (unless AmericanUnlocker is only a dumb robot running the operation, no humans) AND they give you the right unlocking code, then they'd be fine, but if you ever need assistance, they are nowhere to be found, so GOOD LUCK on that. And they said something about "working 24/7 for you" but they only have regular office hours (apparenty) and waiting 12+ hours for a unlocking code is not "working 24/7" for ANYbody. So my rating of this cell-phone unlocking service -- AmericanUnlocker -- will be a TWO out of FIVE, and that only assumes the unlock code they gave me was correct. Would I use them again, or recommend them to anyone? Definitely not."
