"The information on the web needs to be changed. Americanlisted.com is NOT free. Cost starts at $2.99 and then goes up from there."
"No one ever gets back to me horrible"
"no ads that are current or not
scams"
"They copy ads from legitmate sites such as craigslist and repost on their site, even if the ad has expired (perhaps years earlier). They make money by misrepresenting theri site click volume and such it naive advertisers. A total scam. "
"I texted a guy about a parrot from his number listed and he texted me back and asked for my email so he could send his birds bio's and pix, I actually did receive his email. His listing was posted to be local to me, but by the fourth one he asked me to pay $1000 to the "shipping company" before he would ship my birds. He said he lived in California, but noone wanted his birds out there so he listed them on different sites. Total scam, please stay away!!!"
"I was looking for a boat and found a couple on Americanlisted.com I tried to contact the seller, but their email system never worked. I tried to contact the company , but had the same email issue. Very suspicious to have ads, but you can't actually buy anything.
Americanlisted used the same bot verification system (reCAPTCHA) as this site and it never worked."
"I just got a call from Austria; a gentleman inquiring about an Ad on Americanlisted.com. Sad for him - because I NEVER POSTED an ad on Americanlisted.com.
First, I posted my item on Craigslist, local to my city. Second, I deleted that ad OVER 1 YEAR AGO. Yet, there's 2 copies of my ad, with my information, posted on Americanlisted.com.
So, a) they fraudulently stole my ad from Craigslist, b) they're incompetent to leave an expired ad on their site for that long.
Yes, I say it is fraud to list something so as to boost their numbers from which they receive funding from investors."
