$14.95 a month that you can't cancel

"Have been trying to cancel some subscription don't ever remember signing up for. Multiple phone numbers all play the same hold music & disconnect you just before 31 minutes. They are somehow affiliated with Harriet Carter catalog sales. Read the fine print if you do business with them - or wouldn't trust them."

Check your CC statements every month!

"ZERO stars if I could. My wife bought clothing from a seller that turned out to be an affiliate or sub-brand of Amerimark. We then started getting bills for a "Passport to Savings" program that neither of us had authorized. The CC statement only identified the bills as from "AMK*" which made them slightly difficult to track.

After tracing the abbreviation back to Amerimark I found that they have a VERY dodgy history: they sell legitimate products under multiple sites, but then automatically sign up clients for one of their "Passport" programs that claims to offer discounts and special offers. The start with a low introductory charge, usually $2.99 or $3.99, that's easy enough to miss on a statement. After that the charge jumps to four or five times as much and continues until you cancel; i.e. it's "opt out" rather than "opt in".

But wait, there's still more - and it's slimy! Their target clientele is over-55s, and sad to say, some of my compatriots in that demographic are less tech-savvy and more trusting. I found any number of complaints from people whose older relatives had been paying Passport membership fees for years without understanding what had happened.

Unfortunately short of sleuthing through business sites first, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to know whether a particular retailer is part of Amerimark's web. So bottom line, check your statements !!every!! month!

STAY AWAY from AmeriMark!!!

"The entire "experience" was just too long to retype, as I am sick of even hearing the word "AmeriMark". They are a CHEAT company and they know it, and they do not care! When they do misuse you, and they will, just get in touch with WalMart, if Walmart's website is where you ordered from, and WalMart will refund your money, no questions asked. Not a single one, where as AmeriMark has argued, lied, and just not answered our emails... since January of this year! Just stop trying to deal with AmeriMark and go directly to WalMart for your refund... I first contacted WalMart about 30 minutes ago and already have an email with all their return info regarding our refund which will deposit tomorrow! Again, I repeat, this is a HUGE SCAM COMPANY!! "

Ameri Mark took money from my account

"I made my first and only order a week ago and today I see they took 14.95 out of my account. Nothing was ever said that this was going to happen. I have called emailed and text them to get them to put it back but they did not. I did not receive my order and it does not track. This company is running a scam and steals peoples money. I cant get them to return my money. I would never agree to a 14.95 a month charge to any company.

The worst service ever!

"Absolute worst service ever! My 88-year-old mother bought for muumuus in February, was not told that she will be paying $14.95 a month every month, last month I called to have it canceled I did, only to find out that she was charged again in April! When I called and talk to Maria she was nasty with me and actually hung up the phone on me! This is a terrible company I would not do business again with AmeriMark!"

The worst costumer service in the world!

"I just got a call (Jan 20,8:30am)from a nasty guy from Amerimark ***-***-**** charging me for items i never received,I said I will not pay and he got so angry he hangup on me! Amerimark had the must rude, incompetent and nasty costumer service representatives in the whole world! Plus is a horrible business that doesn't care about the costumer needs, just the money. Their "costumer service" are a bunch of incompetent lousy people  in Philippines that  nobody has trained appropriately, with broken English Just following a silly book of instructions repeating questions like robots is a waste of time calling for anything. Nobody answer emails neither and if you finally are lucky enough to get an American speaking person he/she won't fix issues, understand problems or bother following up. They send my packages to wrong address, never even informed me of how they will fix the issue but the charge still showing in my account and late fees have posted due to this. Then they "lost", or simple ignored a large order I sent by mail through their catalog and theorems never came, nobody call me or contact me about it but they sent 2 items out of 13 and charged me completely different prices, I order sneakers for $17.00 and they send another type and charged me $95! I won't bother calling is just waste of time nobody cares and nobody will solve your issue. I only have one guy who gave me accredit for the item they sent to wrong address but that doesn't help with all the other times and troubles. I'm closing all accounts with Amerimark and advice people not to deal with this company at all. "

Never got my order-ZERO Communication-RIP OFF COMPANY

"Don't order from AmeriMark unless you just want to donate money to them and never get your product!! I ordered a small, simple order-4 duplicates of the same thing in the middle of November-they took my money as soon as I placed the order online. After 4 weeks of not hearing anything aside from the order confirmation email-I sent an email asking where my product was and why hadn't I heard anything at all. I received a response that the product was on backorder until 12-27, fine, but why didn't they let me know this right away? Soooo 12-27 came and went and still nothing. I sent them another email, and this time, two days later received a postcard in the mail stating it was still on backorder and should arrive by January 5-HMMMM...needless to say-that date came and went, still nothing...I finally called them and after much debate with a foreign woman I couldn't understand-I was transferred to their main location in Ohio...there I was told that my card had been declined so they didn't process the order!!! WTF! I had been charged way back when I placed the order...she tried to tell me that it was a pre-auth and should have dropped off--I received a new card in the new year from the bank, so if they were still trying to charge the old card [again] yeah, it would not have been a valid card anymore. She also told me that the shipment they received in January when they tried to charge my old card was again on backorder and wouldn't be in until sometime in March and did I want to give her my new card to "get on the list" again...NO NO NO!! So I wait over two months and hear nothing from these people...how hard would it have been to let me know via email or something when I placed the order that it was on backorder and I wouldn't receive it for several months?? But nope-nada...What kind of a scam is this crap? It looks like the other reviews are very similar to mine-total rip off..never get product ordered, no communication etc etc..I still have to go back through my old bank statements to see if she was telling the truth about that charge dropping off, but since the initial charge was NOT showing as a pre-auth..I doubt it-and I'll have to go through the chargeback process...Long store short..SCAM COMPANY, NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD, DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM AS YOU WILL NEVER GET IT...THEY REALLY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!"

"This company sneakily started charging me $14.95 monthly membership that I didn't know what was for. I don't do memberships or trial memberships online because they usually hard to cancel. They lost me as a customer after they took nearly $60 from me on monthly membership charges."

I cancelled the order. What a terrible way to do business.

"I ordered 3 items as Christmas presents on December 2nd. I received a confirmation email saying the items are available and my credit card was charged. I checked the status of the order on December 12th and I see the items are out of stock and the new estimated shipping date is December 30th. I never received an email stating that these items will be delayed until after Christmas. I cancelled this order. This was the first time that I ordered from amerimark.com and it is also the last time."

Fruad and false advertisement

"I was approved by amerimark since 2012. I have used this company for that many years. Recently, I missed two payments out of all these years. Once again they sent me a credit limit of $1750. I order in August 2019 and they need yo make a down payment do I used my debit card and bought the merchandise. My account has been paid off over five months. I made another order of $43 and they wanted me to make a down payment of $40. Why in hell would a make a down payment of $40 with another $3, I could pay the entire purchase price. I refused. They sent me a credit increase and books. Then they contact me with an email saying my order will be sent out in couple and thanked me for the order. I went on the page to my account and found out that was false. I tried to update the shipping address but they would not allow me to do so. I tried to cancel the order, they would not allow me to correspond with them. If they approve it, the joke will be on them because it has the wrong shipping address. I do not the people they had on the shipping address. "

Product description way off!

"I really thought the "Hip and Thigh Shaper" was a girdle. It's more like pantyhose or a leotard! This garment doesn't "shape" anything! I am extremely disappointed that the description was so poor! Now the company expects me to pay almost half the cost of the product for the return? I would give this product and company a ZERO if I could. I ordered the product 3/26/2019 and it arrived on 5/1/2019.
