After several phone calls to Amazon, the seller (Alto Music) said they will not credit back my account until they receive the item. (even though they have the tracking and shipping number for verification) They also said they have the right to charge me up to a 50% restocking fee, at their own discretion. I have made a formal request to Amazon to immediately remove and ban Alto Music from their website. "

"I've purchased several items over the years from Alto ranging from $50 to $400. Always excellent service, low prices, no problems.
Today, I called them asking them for some recommendations on USB Mixer audio interfaces for live streaming, budget under $500 but price not the issue. After describing the needs I was addressing and my current equipment, the salesperson suggested I work with what I have (using my DAW as a virtual mixer) rather than spend money with them on products which would yield an inferior result. Basically, he turned down what would have been a sale of several hundred dollars.
As someone in sales myself, I appreciate businesses that believe and act as I do- the goal is serving the customer best, even if that means not making an immediate sale, referring to other vendors, etc.

I just opened a case with eBay and PayPal will be my next option.
