"I had been keeping some old gold jewelry from my grandmother for years and decided it was time to let go. A friend of mine referred me to Altieri fine watches and jewelry of beverly hills. When I called, I was told to bring my items down, and if I wanted, to check with a few places before I arrived to get a "feel" of what gold buyers were Paying. I stopped by 3 other places that advertised "the highest prices" paid for gold to see what the market was looking like. When I got to altieri, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman named Sonny, who introduced me to the owner, Bobby. I showed him what I had, and he examined the items. He showed me the markings showing what the Karat ratings of each piece were, tested them to ensure that they indeed matched, and weighed the items. He then told me how they determine a price based on the market values, and he gave me a price for my items. I have to say I was really surprised when his figures were about 10-15% higher than the other places that advertised the "highest prices paid". We filled out the requisite paperwork, and he asked me if I wanted a check or cash... The other places, even though they also said "cash", would only give a check... they claimed a check was really "cash" once you went to the bank...
I chose cash, and Bobby proceeded to count out nice green cash for me!
I was very satisfied with how I was treated, how I was made aware of how the whole process worked, and how when they said "Cash" they really meant "CASH"!
They were very professional and friendly, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to sell any jewelry, watches etc... They also had a lot of very nice watches and jewelry for sale as well!
