"OK so I was bought as a present a trip to the Shard by my children. Covid happened so Shard and everything else shut. Activity Superstore extends valid date by 6 months...Shard opens 9 months after...you would think there would be some leeway but no...no flexibility, no refund, nothing just wasted money.

So if you are giving a gift either book direct (as the Shard would have honoured it), give the money or book it when the receiver is ready. Do not use a bunch of inconsiderate money grabbers who have no regret in taking your money for nothing."
