"FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW
Now that their website is shutdown (not the main page that only has a short message - but everything else) and now that they messed up my order, I'm obviously extreemly concerned that they won't make it good. The main number isn't helpful regarding order inquiries, and the order inquiry number they gave me won't answer.

On a positive note, I at least have something of value from them, although it is only worth 75% of what I paid for.

Update:

I got ahold of them (later in the afternoon/evening seems better). They promised to ship and send tracking number for the correct product.

Update:

I received the correct product the next day. Not bad at all considering I called at 4:00PM PST. Once I got ahold of them, they were more than willing to make the necessary corrections. It still spooked the heck out of me though."

I ordered 4 times from these guys and they managed to mess up all four orders. While their prices are very competitive, all other areas of Abysstek are very weak.

First I ordered a DVD drive and they sent me the wrong model. Come to find out the model stated on their site does not exist in their warehouse to begin with. Next I ordered some light tubes for a case mod. Only one of the two tubes I paid for arrived and it was broken!! The RMA for this was a nightmare. It took three and a half weeks to get a response! Finally when I did get the replacement tubes they were not Sunbeam brand like stated on their Website. I will never do business with this company again because they are incompetent. Besides there are too many other retailers, (check ratings at this Website), out there that have got it right. These bozos are clueless.....

"Ordered a power supply on the same day as I ordered another part from another online retailer. The day I received the part from the other site, Abysstek mailed the power supply. This alone made me somewhat dissatisfied, but it was free shipping and a smaller company so I dealt with it. Then, the power supply started making noises and eventually went bad. I got an RMA number and shipped it back to them. A week after they recieved it (I had a tracking number to be sure they did recieve it) I had not heard from them, so I called and they said they had almost lost it, but it was found and that they'd take care of it right away. A few days later having no updates I called, they said that they were refunding my money to my credit card and that it should be there within a week. A week went by, and I got an e-mail saying they tried to refund the money to my credit card but were unable to and asked for a PayPal account. I replied with a PayPal they could send it to, and a week later with no money I called and they said I was in a "waiting list" to get my refund. 2 weeks after this, I still have no refund.

Update: The money is still not in the Paypal account, 9 days after they promised to refund it. Unless they were able to refund it to the credit card which I can't check currently, then it's still not refunded."

"I ordered a Sapphire Radeon 9500 128MB Vid card for a decent price. I get the notification saying they recieved my order, then I get another saying my order is Processing/Packing. Then I get a third saying they're sold out of my item, so I ask when they expect my order to be in stock and shipped. They reply that they're just going to cancel my order. I go back to their site and see that they've raised the price of the product by $26. I cant help but think they screwed me. Even if I have to pay more then their current higher price elsewhere I will, this site will never get any money from me now."

6-9-03 pm Received email reply from customer service stating items should have been shipped. and they will research it. I think I will check out their FedEx or UPS rates next time
6-11-03 Called Abyss customer service. I'm in the Midwest so this is day rate long distance. The person I talked to said the order had apparently been lost and they would re-ship 3 day UPS at their expense. Fair enough.
6-13-03 received confirmation email that items had been shipped UPS. Today is Friday so I expect delivery on or around 6-19-03."

"This was my first time ordering from this company; at first I was a little scared seeing that not many people reviewed the site, but this is definately a great company. I ordered a stick of Samsung PC2700 512mb ram from them, but did not get a chance to test it out till a month later due to a doa mobo. After testing the ram, it worked fine! The only complaint I have about this company is the shipping speed... They use USPS which is terribly slow so order only if you're willing to wait. As for me, it was not too big of a deal.
