Do not buy from ASUS Onlone Store

"Purchased a workstation motherboard [asus-pro-ws-wrx80e-sage-se-wifi] ASUS Online store 11/7/22 thinking that buying direct would offer me some protection for such a high priced board ($1000) and the components that be installed on it [$19000]. After several day's of trying to get it to POST and lots of searching on forums / web for a specific Q code not listed in their literature [C5] I determined that DIMM slot H1 was defective. I was disappointed but felt confident that ASUS would respond in a professional manner and provide good support. Stripped the board and packed it up - contacted ASUS and things did not go well from there. Simply put; ASUS online store indicated that no replacement or repair service was available. Indicated they may charge me as much as $150 (15%) for one piece of missing plastic packaging [as a restocking fee], indicated that they will determine what amount of refund and when it will be available 3 - 5 days after they receive the board back. All the while assuring me of their full commitment to the optimum customer experience and service while making me feel like a fool for buying form them instead of a reseller. I dont have the luxury [as a business] to sit around and wait for ASUS [the manufacturer of the board] to determine if I am worthy of a refund and cant use another board given the peripherals / components already purchased. I committed to another motherboard from NEWEGG with overnight delivery and extended warranty. Dont buy direct from these guys and be very cautious about after sales / warranty support on this product. "

DO NOT BUY ASUS. EVER.

"DO NOT PURCHASE ASUS LAPTOPS.

I have had the absolute WORST customer service encounter with this company that i have ever had in my 30+ years in the IT industry. After purchasing an ASUS gaming laptop on Amazon for personal use, the system failed after only a few months of use. I sent the unit in for a quick RMA of the motherboard/hard drive for issues with it not booting and not detecting the hard drive. That's when things went downhill.

The RMA itself took over a month to complete. The ASUS website never changed on the repair status other than to state 'We can not estimate the repair status, please check back later' and despite calling ASUS, using the MyASUS app for technical support chat, and making over 6 different attempts to find out the status of the repair, the only feedback I would get it 'it is being repaired, we will update you in 24-48 hours' which NEVER occurred. The only email I DID get from ASUS support asked me to perform local hardware diagnostics on the laptop that I didn't even have because it had already been at their service center for over 14 days.

I submitted scathing 0-star survey replies from their automated emails, and eventually a 1-star review of their product on Amazon and I have had NO replies from ASUS from any of the feedback.

Buyers beware.

Absolutely scam bags stay away

"Purchased product from Asus motherboard Asus zenith extreme alpha for 650$, after 9 months using it failed, stopped working Bluetooth, ethernet port and gave error code of "00" which indicates of failed motherboards
Send it, packed it very safe and secure with FedEx representative back to Asus repair center.
Somebody dropped in the Asus repair center, because of the drop which lead to void to warranty Asus send it motherboard back to me.
Asus is a cheap company which will never fix their products,
They blamed me first that I broke the motherboard after they decided to blame FedEx a keep telling me to sue FedEx for prudence and not being cautious.
ASUS IS A SCAM and rip-off they will take your money and never to their job.
DO me a favor never buy anything from ASUS.

i bought a VG245 monitor from these guys off amazon, a few things i wanted to say...

"firstly, this monitor is all right, the picture is very clear and has a lot of customization options, built in blue light filter and FPS counter were a nice touch. however there are a few small problems that really shouldnt be there for a 220 dollar monitor, it has this weird gradient effect where the top of the screen is darker than the bottom, its something i managed to get used to overtime but its still something a monitor of this quality should not have, it also has built in speakers, which was not mentioned on the product page for some reason but dont get excited, the sound quality is terrible so make sure youre ready to buy a set of speakers or headphones with this. finally another thing that wasnt mentioned on the product page was that this is a wide screen monitor, it measures to 22 inches by 13 inches (including the bezel) so just keep that in mind before you buy it
so yeah overall there wasnt anything too bad with it in terms of specs, my main gripe is just that they dont give a lot of information on their product descriptions on amazon

Computer Malfunctioning Since Purchase and Since Repair

"This is my first time purchasing an Asus notebook; an upgrade for my multimedia design work. I purchased my notebook at the end of August 2019 and the notebook has not been working properly since I started using it.

Issues with the laptop:

- All USB's stop working, so I have to manually unplug and plug them back in; they work for about 10-15 minutes until they stop working again

- My design software freezes mid-use; this is without any internet connection or any other software open. This means I can't use a single piece of software that I purchased this computer to use

- the trackpad sticks while trying to use it; I sit there swiping and the mouse doesn't move

- applications in general won't open; i'll click and click and nothing happens

- my general computer settings are not remembered; have to reset repeatedly


I sent the notebook to the Asus repair department after unsuccessful troubleshoot attempts over the phone. I waited over a month to get the notebook back and the notebook is worse than it was before.


- NEW issue: now the screen starts flashing a black screen and then the computer stops working all together


Since my intention was to use this as my main laptop for my design work, I got rid of my back up not thinking that a brand new laptop would malfunction as this one has. I am being asked to send the laptop back to ASUS for repair, although expedited, so I won't have to wait a month. Unfortunately, I am in a heavy work season and cannot send the laptop off for repair, even if it's just for 1-2 weeks.

Asus is putting me and my livelihood between a rock and a hard place. I can't use the computer for long periods of time, but need it because I have to work and need to pay my bills.

I sent two letters to the CEO. The first, was responded to by the email attendant and they said they would, as mentioned before, expedite my shipping for the second round of repairs and look into why my laptop was not fixed to begin with. I have not heard back or received a follow up on that. Second letter was to inform Asus that I don't have the ability to sacrifice more work days to repair the computer and leaving the ball in their court. No response as of yet.

Worst product and customer service

"I bought a gaming laptop and i am having issues since then. The keyboard every now and then stops working and i have to do some maintenance in order to get it work again. The cpu go all the way up to 90% every time i open an application, even if it is notepad. I tried to recover to factory maybe this will fix the problem and now i am facing an additional issue which is whenever i right click the desktop it takes over a minute to respond. I am done with asus. I am going to switch to ibuypower."

what a big mistake I made

"Was talked into buying a ASUS desktop computer what a big mistake I made. Went to trade it in after 5months and there was no trade in value went back to my old HP. Had it fixed and been using it now. When I go to buy a new computer just kick me in the rear if I look at another ASUS computer. "

not a good computer

"I bought this computer last December (2016). Thankfully I bought the protection plan. The touch screen should be able to turn off if I don't want it on. It has been back to Best Buy 2 times in the last year. It freezes, shuts off, would not even power on and I paid $900 for it. A no touch screen HP computer would have been so much better. Even the Geek Squad at Best Buy did not help. They just checked the mother board and got it to actually Turn On! Very bad customer help on both ends. Very disappointing!

Worst laptop ever

"Since day 1, Asus K540L was giving me the hardest time ever.
I went 4 times or more trying to fix it in the same month but they did not offer help or cared to change the laptop.
NEVER EVER buy an Asus product because they have awful devices, bad services and they never seem to care.

great quality products

I bought ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q 27 inch Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor 144hz and i can say its a great product worth every penny ,the image quality is great color accuracy is good .I am a gamer and with this monitor G-Sync on i can enjoy high performance gaming ,also i own asus maximus hero 8 motherboard and asus rog graphics card wich ar great product to .My next asus product will be the Rog 1080 ti oc graphics card maybe next year cuz to expensive right now .The PG278Q 144hz is an excellent choice for gamers paired with 1080 gtx or above nvidia cards you can have great gaming experience.

Asus Zenfone DO NOT BUY

"I was bought zenfone 2 on 10.03.2017 i send 3 times to fix the freezing problem on phone. They changed motherboard. Now phone is freezing even internet surf. Chrome is freezing games is freezing. Even BBTAN freezing. They saying we updated the phone. Hey im no fool. You updated what android 11 ? Im just saying just dont buy Asus phones. I was bought lot of pc stuff 5 years ago. But Asus is so changed. Its like worst high price bull... "

Most expensive computer ever purchased died in 5 months

"Twice I have purchased expensive computers from ASUS and both times the computers died in the first year. Even with a warranty it cost me a couple hundred the first time.

I haven't gotten it fixed yet but it is going to mean being without the computer probably for a month and seriously, sending your computer in for service is a huge violation of privacy.

Wish I could give it zero stars

"Do not buy a laptop from this company unless you want a computer whose volume stops working 6 weeks after you buy it and when you call customer service they tell you the defect is not a covered repair! I promptly returned it and am typing this review on a HP notebook, the computer I replaced the ASUS with. It's only $20.00 more and the quality is far superior in every way. "

Do not buy ASUS laptops

"I have ASUS laptop model UX303L.
I paid top money for it, and unbelievable happened. In less than 2 years left hinge broke in screen area (according to repairman). It is not repairable, broken in screen area, so min. cost is $ 500. This was exactly what I was quoted by head office ASUS, so they have to know this problem.
Shame for this product.....and they do not take any stand to fix just problematic issue.
Note: it is not used for business, sitting on home desk, just once travelling with it.

POS

"It was slow to start, then they force "updates" continually. It gets slower and slower. 3.4 ghz and 12 mb ram and it runs like a pos. Terrible computer. The computer is 6 months old
It's worse than my 10year old computer. They are so busy data mining all your information to everyone they can squeeze a penny out of that it is worthless.

NEVER buy one.
