Ordered and returned Binoculars on February 13th due to some minor defects, I went through the most demanding/cumbersome return process of any vendor I have ever dealt with. First you have to call them to get information then you have to fax that information back to them. I shipped binoculars back to them and upgraded to better pair at same time. Just to be sure I would not have to wait the 10 day period after they received my return for a refund, I prepaid for the next pair to be shipped. Thats when customer service went south. I was lied to multiple times about the status of my order. My emails were ignored and I was sent generic preprogrammed email excuses. They finally admitted to losing my order after a week of being ignored. I had sent multiple emails requesting tracking information they finally figured (read my email) it out and blamed it on supplier. They told me they would re-order the following week. (If they found out that day from the supplier, why not reorder during the same conversation, I suspect another lie there) They stated they would have order drop shipped by supplier 2nd day delivery on Monday 17th. Another lie, it did not ship and they ignored my requests for tracking info. I called them on Wednesday 19th they said they would ship it today from their warehouse (so the drop ship from supplier was another lie. They said they would 2nd day the shipment I tracked it to find out it was shipped ground. I called, they said they would fix error and send me a new tracking number. They did not. Another lie. On another note, I was charged immediately for the order on Feb. 13th and I still do not have them today, Feb. 23rd.

I purchase on line all the time and am active ebay seller. This is by far the most deceptive vendor I have ever dealt with.

A few sites need lessons from this reseller. I ordered 1 gig of SD Extreme III which was backordered everywhere else. Ordered on Saturday, instantly received 2 email notifications, 1 of my order, another of payment approval. Shipped on Monday (another email). Received item Tuesday packed nicely and in perfect condition. Will be buying here again with no reservations. No waiting or wondering with these people like some other places. Thank you for great service.

Ordered a Dell 2001fp monitor on Saturday December 13th 2003. On phone per Christine I was told this order (#573881555) would cost $732.77 I triple checked with her because price seemed too good to be true, "IT WAS" my account was charged $957.55 without my approval, and overcharge of $208.30. I call Dell within 10 minutes off previous phone call (Christine) admitted their (her) error and cancelled order only to overcharge me again, for same monitor here we go again. I reordered, New reorder price $749.25 TOTAL (reorder #573928745) Total includes Tax and Next day shipping, Christine stated Dell would pay shipping and tax due to my inconvenience. I Quadruple checked price of $749.25 with her. I wanted to be sure price I was charged would be correct because of previous error, she (Christine) assured me of charge. I look at my account online after the call, they overcharged me AGAIN this time its $797.95 an overcharge of $48.70. Not only that but according to Web site the item is in stock and will ship same day, well its Saturday so I figure it will go out Monday 12/15/03 with next day delivery. I just checked the site it was shipped today which is 12/17/03, now I understand its Christmas, but If you know your swamped don't state same day ship on your web site when you know its not true. They even knew that ahead of time because when I checked my order status online the same day of order the estimated ship date was 12/19/03, not 12/15/03 like it should have been, that is not same day ship as per website. I will never buy from these people again, the customer support is terrible if not useless, and being lied to repeatedly about charges that are going to be applied to my account should be illegal. I did call back about the second overcharge in a row, Dell says nothing they can do about it and gave me a complimentary accessory for my Dell Axim, what a joke! this does not make up for the total lack of customer care and lies. This has changed my entire opinion of Dell I will be trying hard to convince my company not to buy from them again, and we are in the market for company replacement of PC's. Oh well Dell is so big why would they care.

Update 12/31/03 The good and the bad.

Well finally got my monitor and it had bad pixels, not a lot but enough in middle of screen to annoy me, for that price I don't think so. Dell credited my account $50.00 for my hassle and replaced monitor overnight with a perfect one, wow what a come back.

Ordered a Boxed AMD XP2100, ASUS A7V333 MOBO and Corsair PC 2700 on 06-12-02 for 2nd day all came before expected on 06-14-02 (expected on 06-17-02 as they have 1 day processing). BUT MOBO would not post, I can't fault googlegear for a bad board, I called for them for help, they answered on first ring. They were very helpful and gave me an RMA. I returned the order to be delivered next day (at my expense $40, ouch) They should get the board today 06-17-02 and we will see how long this takes ! Have ordered many times from Googlegear all was shipped on time in good working order, this if my first return experience with them and I will be back to this site to update with my experience. I am now crossing my fingers as I need this PC back soon for work.
------------------------------------

Update: Got and email from googlegear 06-18-02 after I paid $40 for next day return they want me to wait 5-7 days for resolution. So now I have $65 total in shipping costs and still no working PC, God help anyone who wants rapid service from these people, I should have just paid retail then I could have taken it back to the store for an INSTANT exchange, broke even and be using the pc now. What a joke.
------------------------------------

Update : 06-21-02 1 week to the day and now have a working PC (mobo was bad), Crosshipping would have been nice here especially for repeat customers. All is Good at Google except for the returns, if your in a hurry. They offer no solutions whatsoever to expedite the process, I even offered to pay for another board in the meantime. NO REFUNDS ON DEFECTIVE RETURNS even if they ship you a bad product.
