“We recently ordered some hardware for our PS2 from Baysoft, as they did have the lowest price we saw online. After one week, we still had not heard anything, nor had we been charged. After 9 days, we were finally charged for the product, but did not receive any e-mail notification, tracking number, or the like. After finally checking around (and seeing the overwhelming bad press), we sent them an e-mail, asking that they provide some sort of indication of where our product was. We received nothing. We found a company phone number on our credit card billing statement, and (surprise, surprise) it was out of service.
We immediately called our bank and had the charges reversed and a new card issued. This taught us an important lesson: always research a company before you allow them access to your account info. Had we done so, we would have found this site as well as the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau and a litany of anger and fraud allegations.
