The gun site was available at a good price, so no need to look elsewhere. I also checked out a picaninny rail that I needed to mount the site, but their price was quite a bit more than where I had already ordered it from another store. So do a little price checking. I called in my order and they were nice and do answer the phone.

Purchased one of the last Pioneer KRP-600m monitors from the merchant, aka HT Concepts. They did not have them in stock initially (no one did) but the website gave me an option to have them e-mail me when it was back in stock, and it happened. They have access to more in the warehouse (confirmed by phone) than the website lists, but that may be to spur sales. They answer their phone and discuss their product. They were the only authorized Pioneer plasma dealer that also was an AVS Forum sponsor (where I learned about my new monitor), so my decision on where to buy was easy. Their price was also great.

The real test is how they perform when there is a problem. I did not have a problem with the break in, but have not watched it yet.

I ordered a big shipment of Dingo double-meat 7-packs of rawhide chews. I ordered after hours on Friday and they shipped the following Wednesday, with UPS confirmation # by e-mail. My order arrived Thursday (Ohio to Kentucky) without any problems. Good store and price.

The first chair mat (see earlier feedback) arrived and it was fine. Shipped new with no damage.

I moved into my new office and had a second mat shipped there. I was very satisfied with that mat too. I can't recall why, but I got a $15 coupon after the first order. The live CSR gave it to me, when I called in my order to make sure they did not start selling my name (see their privacy notice).

First feedback:
I saw a wood chair mat on their site and ordered by phone (to avoid having them sell my name or e-mail). The lady was very nice taking my order. A few days later, I received a letter that the item I ordered is no longer in stock. The website says the item is "NEW."

My new Canon Elura 90 camcorder was $504.00, which was $5 less than the pricewatch/pricegrabber listed price. Their price was within a few dollars of the lowest store. I trusted them because their feedback was so high.

Shipping was free. They use FedEx, which is much, much better on packages than UPS, who like to crush everything. The camera got to Kentucky from Michigan in 2 days. They also provided a tracking number. They used foam peanut packing on the top, bottom and sides of the double-box shipping (retail box inside a bigger box). Most places don't put peanuts on the bottom, which means your stuff takes the full brunt of any drops.

They were the only one of 3 stores to properly identify a 16MB memory card (another said 8MB, while one did not mention the memory card). The Canon box does not mention the MB size, so Norman Camera goes the extra megabyte to make sure they properly identify the contents. :)

Overall EXCELLENT store. I called ahead to confirm that the camera was in stock, as listed on the website.

The academic-priced WinXP was in stock and sent the next business day. Easy link to my package on UPS. Arrived the day promised -- day 4 for standard shipping 4-7 days.

Ordered a board and chip from them. One of them was backordered. You can call and speak to a real person re your order (that's nice). A small operation, I thought, but they came through for me, they are still in business, and they have alot of reviews here (must be bigger than I thought). BUT THIS WAS LAST YEAR AND APPARENTLY THEY HAVE GONE WAY, WAY DOWNHILL.

Ordered Mitsui CD-R 24X blank media 50-disc cake. Got 3 day select shipping (standard I think). Good price compared to other sites (I shopped around).

Called in an order for a rounded SCSI cable ($6.99). Let the salesman know that I also considered them for a Hercules Game Theeatre XP soundcard and they worked with me to get a good price at the time ($127.99). The guy was happy to get a much bigger sale than just a cable. The good thing about J&R is that you can get a manufacturer's warranty on stuff because they are one of the FEW authorized e-tailers.

Ordered an Plextor 12-10-32 SCSI CD-RW drive (OEM) with Tekram 315U SCSI controller card bundle. Also ordered a SCSI cable, not knowing that the card came with one. the drive worked okay but the card did not have a separate BIOS so you could not boot from it. It came quickly and everything worked.
