ZZF had my order for the new X2 4800 processor by 12:00 noon PST on July 28th. ZZF showed that the processor was in stock when I ordered. The following day my updated order status showed that the processor was packed. It remained at the same status for the next three days, so I contacted ZZF. On August 1st I contacted ZZF to find out why my order had not shipped, I was informed that the processor wasn't in stock but was expected to arrive the following Friday. There's nothing I hate worse than an online vendor showing an item in stock when it really isn't, so I cancelled my order on August 2nd and ordered from the Egg instead. There were similar reports from other ZZF customers at a Forum that I frequent, so I was not an isolated case. ZZF has really slipped in the last six to eight months. They used to be my online supplier of choice for pc parts, now they've been dropped to the bottom of the barrel. Their turn around time (even on in stock items) has gotten terrible, their shipping methods have changed and it's just not worth the hassle to have to wait four or five days to receive an order even when you pay extra for 2nd day delivery. I don't know if it's a change in management, business policies or what, but they sure aren't the same company that I started doing business with in the beginning. That's a shame.
