Online store has misleading freight charge calculator. Shows up as $4.99 (based on items in cart) but at point of paying it shows up as $10.49. I contacted CS ant it IS actually Spencer Gifts who told me I was wrong in reading the freight charge of $4.99 but after telling the CS person exactly what the web page said she confessed that the webpage was wrong. She instructed me to place the order and assured me I would be credited the difference after a short e-mail. Well it's been 2 weeks and no credit. After another phone call she said she put the credit through "but it didn't take". She would try again and it should show up in 48 to 72 hrs. I informed her that the freight calculation on the site is still showing $4.99 and she again said that it without weight factored in but I AGAIN said it says "freight charge is based on what is in your cart" then she said Oh...they are working on that. Very misleading practice when it comes to actual freight charges then not very truthful regarding credits/refunds.

I don't think walmart fully knows what they are selling online when it comes to certain items. I had ordered a pre-order card for a particular video game. No where on the website do you pick your "local store" as your pick-up place. It is only contained in the description but after ordering you get NOTHING to verify this. I went to the walmart the day before the game was released and nobody in the entire store knew what I needed to do to verify that that would be my pick-up store. Nobody had even ever encountered this question and it was like talking to walls trying to explain it to them. All I wanted to know how to get verification that my reserved game would be there. I left with a promise that they had enough games and that I should not have an issue picking it up the next day. Contacting walmart.com was even worse...the replys were in grossly broken english and they kept saying I had received my item which was the "pre-order" card. After one last e-mail explaining it so easy that a kindergartener would be able to understand the reply was how to turn in a "IN STORE BOUGHT" pre-order card and not the one I purchased online. Horrible, horrible, non-english speaking customer service people online. Never buy online....got to the store instead...at least your communications will be with somebody here in the states. "

I have placed a couple orders with nuts.com back when they were nutstoyou and had fair experiences with them untill I had an issue about shipping. Customer service was horrible. They gave me excuse after excuse as to why the shipping was so high. I just recently got an e-mail from them regarding a free product with an order of $25 or more. I followed the instructions to the T but the "free" item shows up as $6.99. I tried contacting them leaving several messages over a span of 3 days and still no response. They have lots of items but their customer service SUCKS and does their shipping costs.

I got a few items from this site and got is 7 days later. Exactly 1 week. Everything was fine but the candy I ordered was stale and the soup items were bagged (dried mixes) so I can't comment on the freshness.
I took a list of every day grocery items I usually buy to my local grocery store with Alice.coms prices for comparison. 90% of the items were either the same price or much higher on the website compared to what my local stores charged for the same or equal type items. I visited a few blogs/sites that did reviews on Alice.com and all gave rave reviews of the simplicity of the site and how low the prices were. I am not sure where these reviewers got their prices but my own comparisons found Alice.com too over priced, even with free shipping. Not anywhere I would ever visit and buy from again. It is more cost effective to get these items locally even before weekly sale prices.

Ugh!!! I should have done better research. These guys are selling fake knock offs but advertise as genuine manufacturer products. They clearly show SERTA MEMORY FOAM PILLOW with the title and logo of SERTA but infact the product is a fake cheap knock off. I don't know how this fraudulent site gets away with this. Upon further reading it does state these are "Serta like" and yes it is my fault for not checking thouroughly but you would thing with the ad header as it is this would be a honest sell, but it is not. Stay away from this POS website. An immediate cancellation of my order (merely minutes after) they still charged my account and the idiot CS person I spoke with said simply for me to take it up with my financial institution is a credit didn't go through.

Only 2 orders with this place and one so far completely screwed up! When I called CS, her solution was to go to the store and deal with the people there. Since I ordered this online that was completely out of the question. The "robotic" sounding CS person put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then said I would be issued a credit. She then said were going to re-order and re-charge me for the incorrect order, now of course the new charge would be immediate while my original credit would take weeks. Then to make matters worse some of the items were no longer available. I asked this useless company to just credit my CC and not to issue a re-order. She said good bye was ready to hang up. I inquired what I was supposed to do with the crap I received. She said UPS would be calling me. This idiot was ready to hang up the phone without giving me full instructions on how to handle this whole process or what was going to happen. I have yet to receive my second order from these idiots so I have my fingers crossed they won't screw that one up either. I'll never buy from these losers again as they have useless people shipping their product and even greater idiots manning their CS department.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I ordered some software and it downloaded fine but it does not do what it is supposed to do. Herman Street is the seller while the software is a completely different developer. After opening a support ticket with the developer and requesting a refund they referred me to Herman street. I called directly and spoke to Ms L Reynolds and she was no help at all and was only difficult. She refused giving me a refund and referred me back to the developer who DOES NOT issue refunds. I supplied her all the data she requested but still refused me my refund. After contacting the developer and telling him my situation, even he was confused as to what more data L Reynolds was requesting as I had sent her everything already and all he could do was suggest something I already had done but didn't work and referred me back to Herman Street. I had to call my bank to begin a dispute with Herman Street since the CS person, L Reynolds was being so uncooperative and idiotic. I'll never buy from them again and suggest all others to stay away as well. I suppose if the product works as it is intended you may be OK but if you run into an issue expect no help from Herman Street CS (especially L Reynolds) since you'll only get the run around.
Note: Her reasoning was that they sell thousands of copies of this software with no problems. I have since purchased a competitors software and it worked FLAWLESSLY, so yes Ms Reynolds IT IS YOUR SOFTWARE.

Avoid Herman Street, D+ support. (See Below)

Update 11-23-2010
After receiving a call from Erica and after she allegedly spoke with her "boss" she asked me what she needed to do to make things right. I told her I required a complete refund and she acknowledged...I got a complete refund on this defective software a few days later. Had the pathetic L Reynolds been as courteous and professional as Erica was I would be completely satisfied with the transaction but having a useless CS person like L Reynolds on the staff won't allow it. L Reynolds needs to be doing something else and if anybody gets her on the line I highly suggest requesting another CS person. Thank you Erica, so very much, for doing the right thing but even so I will think VERY hard before purchasing from Herman Street again.

CedarPC

modified review posted Sep-30-2010

Cedar is certainly a online store I WILL avoid at all costs in the future. I purchased a tablet PC from them with an "A" rating and with the "certified cedar PC refirbishment". The laptop I received came OK at first but the following day I noticed a chip out of the molding on one of the corners of the screen. You don't notice it unless you look on the back and upper right top side. Not an "A" in my opinion. I soon started having issues with the screen in tablet mode....it being a touchscreen would go nuts and the mouse icon would appear on the screen over and over again as if I was tapping the screen repeatedly. This only happened sporadically and would not stop making it useless to operate unless I rebooted it. With a USB mouse attached it would happen with that as well. It began disconnecting from WiFi sporadically as well. This would kick me off the internet and I had only 2 courses....wait for the internal wifi card to become activate again (a pop-up would signal activity again)or re-boot.

I requested an RMA when I came very close to my warranty period because I really wanted to keep this item. After a whole day of no response, I called and spoke to a guy who gave me lame excuses as to why I had not received it and assured me I would be taken cares of the next day. After 3 days I get an e-mail with approval but in bold letters were threats of a 15% restocking fee if they couldn't duplicate my problems. Can anyone guess what their findings will be? AVOID CEDAR PC.

10-15-2010 - I just got e-mailed and called agout this piece of junk they sent me. They found the same issues I found and are refunding me the unit cost ONLY. They pocket the shipping out and I lose the shipping cost to them. These guys are frauds IMO because it was defective out the door and they had to have known this and are pocketing some of the money I spent. I can't imagine how much money they get if this happens over and over again at $20.00 a pop.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM CEDAR PC!!!!

After buying a ZEN MX advertised to a have SD Card memory slot to extend the devices size I tried using it from the SD card. It took more than 25 minutes to access the music. This to me was too long. I contacted Creative (E-Mail) and after a "escalation" or 2 I finally got a hold of a CS person "specialist". The answer in a nut shell? That's normal, You have to live with it, I will put your issue in a suggestion box and I am not sure anything will be done.
What a horrible response on a customers point of view. Stay away from any Creative product if you plan on using advertised "added memory" unless you want to spend more time waiting for the "library to build" then in listening to it.

Have been buying from these guys for years and it has been mediocre at best thus far. Pricing is extremely high. Ran into an issue with tax exemption status. I have been tax exempt for years and have the proper docs on file there. They are charging tax and when I inquired about it I ran into multiple transfers and calls on hold. Accounting can't be contacted. The CS person I finally talked to was pathetically useless and uninformed. Left messages with my "personal rep" and he has yet to even respond once. L-Com sucks when it comes to CS. Their pricing is out of the ballpark but due to my end customer I am STUCK buying from them.

Gamefly really sucks. The time it takes them to receive and then ship a game is rediculious.
Don't know why I tried them again, perhaps to give them a second chance but they are that same. Send in game and about 3 days later I get the e-mail that they received it. Then another 2 days later I get the e-mail they sent my next one. That is unexceptable. I really wish Netflix did games because they have their act together. Gamefly does not and should be avoided at all costs!!!

Terrible shipping practices and untrustworthy CS/Accounting.
I ordered a few items and submitted the order. I forgot to order a couple more and since there is no way to edit an order I just added another complete order. They shipped the orders in one box and charged 2 complete shipping charges. 17+ bucks to ship it 2 cities away. When I inquired about it I got a call from CS/Accounting and she tried to say that when they do a double shipment like mine they charge the total then will automatically refund the overpayment about 3 days later. When I questioned the practice she tried to
explain their procedure about 3 times to me and then just got frustrated and since it was automatic I should see the credit by tomorrow since it had only been 2 days. Within 1 hr of hanging up the phone she called back to inform me of a credit due and that I should see it in 2 - 3 days. This leads me to believe that had I not called and complained they would have been more then happy to take a double shipping charge from me because she/they didn't credit me till I e-mailed the complaint.

This rip off site has cancelled 2 orders from me so far. The first time they showed 975 items in stock and it was cancelled for no inventory through Amazon. The second time I ordered direct from and and they now showed over 1000 in inventory and the cost was $2.12 for the item. I got an e-mail saying this new order was cancelled due to no inventory again. Just now I checked and it has still over 1000 items and the cost is now $5.88 each. I called Customer Service and the guy was totally useless and he said I had to respond to the e-mail instead. He would not check stock or be of any help. There is no possible way they are selling out of this item at the rate of 1000 per day. It is my opinion they simply do not want to sell the item at the cheaper price but want to sell it at the increased price. AntOnline is not trustworthy and should be avoided.

Although the food itself is actually good it took about a week and a half + for them to even ship. I added the alleged total of the items at original price per the package I bought v.s what it would have cost if I bought it seperately and although the package price was indeed less it was nowhere near what they said it was. I got a 1/2 off storewide e-mail from them today and one item I found was the following:
4 (24OZ) Porterhouse Steaks original price was $177 on sale for $88
When seeing the exact same item via the standard web page the price was only $119 so this should have sold for $59.95.
This site certainly is not trustworthy.....
